Description

This carrier is ideal for parents who can’t face the usual 10-plus steps required to use a wrap carrier, but still want the snuggly closeness of a wrap. Pared down to three steps that even the sleep-deprived can handle, the Baby K’Tan goes on quickly in three easy steps and comfortably works in up to six different positions. (It does require some practice to master the steps of looping the material into various positions.) It also has a carrying pouch that doubles as a supportive sash for your back.

Like most wraps, the K’tan is best for smaller babies. It does not have structured support to carry heavier babies for long periods of time.

Unlike a typical wrap that can be modified to fit all-size wearers, the Baby K’Tan comes in specific sizes. A partner or caregiver whose body size is different from yours won’t be able to share this carrier with you. The carrier size generally corresponds to your fitted (tight) t-shirt size. (See details in specs below.) If you are 5’2” or under it is recommended to choose a smaller size. If you are in between sizes based on the measurements above, it is recommended to choose the smaller size. If you are pregnant, base sizing on your pre-pregnancy size. The carrier is meant to fit snugly!

The sizing. It asks you use your pre-pregnancy size to determine which size to use, but my breasts are significantly larger than pre-pregnancy, therefore making this difficult to wear and find an accurate size. I was a size 6, so I got a Small; it was tiny. Then ordered a Medium, and still had issues.

I have always been a fan of babywearing, and have tried it in many forms. This sling is the easiest, best one hands down for small babies. I watched the tutorial (twice) and have been a pro ever since. The washable, soft fabric and one-piece design was perfect for my baby's early months.

Too difficult to use! Awkward configuration.

The product has clear instructions that become intuitive after a few tries. The baby can be worn in a lot of different positions, meaning it can grow with your baby and you don't have to switch carriers often. A word of warning: Don't put this in the dryer. It shrinks.

Reviews recommended to size down since the fabric may stretch but mine has barley stretched so it is a tight fit.

With my first I got a Moby wrap and never used it because it was SO long and heavy and I never got into it. I used a Baby Bjorn that I got at a garage sale a ton though. So with my second I decided to try this wrap and LOVE it. It's super easy and snug.

This wrap is so amazing. Perfect size and so easy to use. When my baby is having her fussy time and i need to get things done around the house i just weak her up close to me, feeling so safe and secure and she falls right asleep as i continue to work away. Love this item so glad it was purchased for me for my baby shower!

Non-adjustable, so it fit only one of us and didn't really grow with the babe.

I also had the Moby Wrap which is similar but I liked it better than the K’tan because it seemed like it was easier to adjust and made sure my baby was more securely positioned in it.
