Description

Designed to check multiple boxes for active families, BOB’s Rambler is basically a pared-down version of its popular Revolution Flex stroller. This is a premium jogging stroller that’s equally good at for strolling around town and will fit in your trunk more easily than other BOBs.

Like the Revolution Flex, the Rambler is a durable, well-made stroller with a high-strength, aluminum alloy frame. It has a swivel-locking front wheel: use the “swivel mode” for easier maneuverability on city streets or lock it into “jogging mode” for more stability when hiking or running. You can adjust the front-wheel tracking to keep the stroller running straight when the front wheel is locked with a simple twist knob.

There’s foot-activated rear parking brake, and all the wheels come off easily via quick-release levers (like the one on your bike) when needed. Shock absorbing, mountain bike suspension and air-filled tires give your baby a smooth ride even when you’re running (super important, especially for smaller babies, to protect them from too much jostling).

The padded seat moves from fully upright to almost flat (70 degrees from vertical) with an easy, one-hand recline, and it has a huge, UPF 50+ canopy. Like other BOBs, you can turn it into a travel system with adapters (sold separately) specific to your infant car seat, and it has the same easy two-step fold.

What makes the Rambler different from the Revolution Flex? In a nutshell, it’s smaller and has fewer features, and it’s also a good chunk cheaper. To start, the back wheels are smaller (12 instead of 16 inch), making it more compact when folded. It’s lighter in weight and smaller in overall dimensions, too.

The handlebar is not adjustable, and though the basket is still roomy, it’s not quite as big. You won’t find bright, two-tone color options in the Rambler—it’s a simple black only. Where the Revolution and Revolution Flex have five year warranties, the Rambler’s is only two years. All in all, the Rambler is an excellent, versatile option for active families that’s a bit more affordable than its sister strollers in the BOB line.
