What weabout it
It holds your baby up when you nurse and give your arms a break. Plus it comes with a super-cute machine-washable cover.

Nursing pillows prop your baby up next to your breast so your arms don’t get tired from holding them, and the Boppy is one of the most popular nursing pillows around. (As well as saving your arms from getting tired, it’s great to have a hand free to check your phone!) There are fun slipcover prints, and you may also want to consider investing in a waterproof cover to protect your pillow from liquids.

The Boppy is more convenient to use than other nursing pillows because you don’t latch it behind your back. (Of course, that means the Boppy is also a little more likely to slip out of place, so latched pillows can be good too). Another nice thing about the Boppy is it’s multipurpose. Besides being used for nursing, this pillow can also be used to prop your baby, give your baby tummy time, or help them learn to sit. Babies tend to be happier when they can see what is going on: if you lean them against the Boppy they can watch you instead of the ceiling (ceilings are soooo boring). Note: it’s designed for baby’s supervised awake time.

Take note: Boppy may not be the best nursing pillow for people who are tall or have long torsos, because it’s a very squishy pillow—other nursing pillows are taller and more rigid. Basically, if you’re tall, you may find yourself hunching with the Boppy, which defeats its ergonomic benefits. If you don’t have a long torso, chances are you’ll find the Boppy super comfortable—it really is one of the most popular nursing pillows out there.

You can put the entire pillow in your washer (cold water, delicate cycle) and in your dryer (low heat). One trick for making sure the pillow keeps its shape in the dryer is to wrap a tennis ball in a pillowcase and add it into the dryer with the Boppy. The tennis ball will pummel the Boppy and knock the stuffing back into place.

Baby is 8 months and still uses the Boppy for support. Very versatile.

It was super helpful for not only me, but my husband, and visitors when they wanted to snuggle our baby as a newborn. It's a versatile product that you can use throughout the baby's first year. I love this and the Newborn Lounger was a lifesaver!

Didn’t work for breastfeeding. It is better as a place for baby to sit and play. Was given a my brest friend pillow as a hand me down. Way better.

It didn’t help us with nursing. My baby would slip through and a had to use swaddles to prop her properly. The My Breast Friend pillow worked much for us. We eventually got a little use out of the hoppy as a cushion when our daughter was learning to sit. Throw pillows would have worked too though.

Not very comfortable for nursing.

This pillow doesn’t stay held wrapped around your stomach very well that it starts to leave a space in between your stomach and the pillow for the baby to potentially fall right through. You constantly have to keep pulling it towards you.

I love the nippy because it makes positioning my baby while nursing so much easier. Also, it doubles as a prop for tummy time and to help support as they start sitting.

Life saver!! Used the Boppy to prop up my baby to feed him while I pumped. Then it became a sitting support pillow, and now that my baby is eight months old, he uses it to snuggle up on and nap. The pillow wasn't super functional for breastfeeding because it slipped away from my body and baby squirmed around.

The billy pillow has been useful since day 1. We took it to the hospital and used it while nursing and laying her in it. I still use it every day to nurse her and she’s 8 months.
