What weabout it
Halo’s mid-line, swiveling bedside sleeper and bassinet has soothing sounds and vibrations

About this Product
  • 360 swivel and adjustable stand lets you position your baby just right
  • Space-saving design with a base that tucks under the bed
  • Retractable wall lowers and returns to make tending to baby from bed, easy
  • “Soothing Center” has a night light, lullabies, nature sounds, and vibration

With Halo’s bedside sleeper bassinet, your baby can be near you at night, but secure in their own defined space—it’s perfect for parents who want closeness but don’t feel comfortable co-sleeping. Use the 360 degree swivel to move the bassinet in next to you when you’re sleeping, then swivel it away so you can get out of bed more easily in the morning. The retractable, locking side wall lowers to make it convenient to tend to baby from bed (especially helpful for nighttime nursing or moms recovering from C-sections).

The Premiere model has a Soothing Center with a nightlight, three lullabies, three nature and womb sounds, two levels of vibration, and a nursing timer with auto shutoff. Two storage pockets help keep necessities close at hand.

The base is heavy and extremely sturdy, yet it tucks under the bed, so the bassinet works well even in small spaces. Parents find that the base is too heavy to make the bassinet portable. Once you get it set up, it’s probably staying where it is. The good news: most find it’s too heavy to be accidentally tipped by a pet, a toddler, or even a grownup.

Unlike larger cribs that do not come with mattress, the Bassinest includes a mattress and coordinating fitted sheet. It’s probably worthwhile to get a couple extra sheets in case of nighttime accidents and consider a waterproof mattress pad, too.

There are two other Bassinests in this line from Halo: the Essentia which is a barebones model without a light or Soothing Center, and the Luxe Plus which includes the Soothing Center, a floor light and a caddy (check out the video below to see more).

This made the first 6 months with my little girl so easy. She slept great in it and gave me peace of mind.

This bassinet makes night wakings so easy and convenient in the newborn stage! It’s very expensive, but reliable and made us feel comfortable about our baby’s night sleep!

Our baby slept in the Bassinest for her first 3 months. Collapsible side made it easy to pull her into my arms. Only downfall is it needs a lot of space for its legs. I tripped on the legs many times. But I loved the crib size and how easy it was to move. I never used any of the electronics. Once baby grew out of it because she was pulling herself up (only 3 months!!) I gave it to a friend. Definitely not space saving. But it worked great for us, wedged between bed and wall.

If I had to do it over, I would get the more simple Halo. We never used the extra features and it drained the batteries before we even used the features twice.

I thought I was going to looove this bassinet, and I really tried to, but just didn't. There's a slight tilt to it that caused my baby to roll down and bunch up at the very end of it, it took up a lot of space in our bedroom, and the swivel feature didn't make getting out of bed any easier than had I not swivelled it at all. Overall, the price of the bassinet was not at all worth the little use we ended up getting from it. I did, however, like the built-in white noise feature.

This bassinet was so disappointing and apparently it’s due to the design. Like many people I found that it leans or, as someone else described it on here, tilts. More specifically, I was extremely concerned when my baby moved right up against the mesh at night. I contacted Halo and they provided a lengthy response that in sum defended its safety, but admitted that there is “a small degree of angling occurring at all times.” I was invited to fill out the warranty claim and submit a video, which I did of a ball rolling freely from the back of the bassinet to the feet (showing it tilts downward) and the ball rolling to the side (showing it leans to the side toward the bed). Halo called me and said they reviewed the video and it’s perfectly normal for the design and again assured me it was safe. I told them I disagreed and won’t be using it anymore. They didn’t argue, but instead told me the store I bought it from would probably still take it back. I used it for a little over 2 months and my baby was less than six pounds when we first used it and just reached over 10 pounds. The bassinet is supposed to have a 20 pound capacity. I couldn’t imagine that!

The bassinet began to lean in two directions allowing baby to scoot right up against the side.

It tilts, which we didn’t realize, and my baby would absolutely not sleep in it for that reason alone. Also the batteries didn’t last long on the sleeping/music options. She maybe was in there twice.
