What weabout it
*Charlotte’s Web* often marks a child’s leap from picture books to chapter books. A poignant, flawless classic.

E.B. White first published this work in 1952, and it’s been delighting readers ever since.

The story follows Fern—a girl on a farm—Wilbur the pig and his friend Charlotte, a beautiful gray spider who lives in Wilbur’s barn. Fern wants to save Wilbur’s life, and Templeton, a sneaky rat, gets roped into the plot.

It’s a story about childhood on the farm, friendship and the cycles of life and death. The story is accompanied by Garth Williams’ 47 black-and-white drawings, which endear the book to readers all the more.
