What weabout it
An attractive, affordable wooden high chair that works for any age of child and converts to an adult chair.

Description

This highchair has a dignified wooden look for your dining room, and can be adjusted to fit your child’s exact height. Wooden high chairs in general tend to be on the expensive side, so we appreciate that this one is more affordable than other wooden options. It even converts to an adult chair!

To keep your baby sitting upright, it’s got a soft yet sturdy infant insert, similar to a Bumbo seat. It’s very comfortable for your baby, and wipes down with a wet washcloth. The infant insert is installed in the armchair during assembly, not shoved in afterwards, which makes it very secure. If your baby is under a year old it would be good to use the back cushion (purchased separately) as well as the infant insert for extra support.

There’s a plastic tray cover that goes on top of the tray which is dishwasher safe. The tray rests snugly against the baby’s hips, which makes it harder for baby to throw food in their own lap and get all messy. Removing the tray is a two-handed process, and you need to remove the tray to put the baby in the chair, so some parents actually leave the tray off when not in use to save on the work of moving it in and out. And although this adjusts to pretty much any height of child, the adjustment does take a bit of work, so it probably would be annoying to use the same high chair with two differently sized babies

The wood is on the softer side, so the top complaint about this highchair is that it gets scratches and sometimes inserting and removing the tray creates small scratches. However, aside from the scratching issue it’s sturdy, and it comes with a 5-year warranty. It’s a good looking, practical choice.

We’ve had ours since my brother and I were kids, we’ve given them on to everyone that had children since and now we have one back for our own child. They grow with the child and keep forever really. Loved mine as a child and now for my own!

Most high chairs babies can start using at 6 months. This one doesn't support my 8 month old yet. I probably won't use it until she is 12 months old.

It's built to grow with baby. The wood makes it easy to clean and the plastic snap on tray table is great for protecting the wood and for cleaning.

Very modern. Looks great in our kitchen. Easy to clean. Light weight. Easy to move around. Infant insert is very soft. Easily removable tray for cleaning.

Wanted a wooden chair that would match dining room and be convertible. The tray sits right on top of the babe's thighs and the straps to the infant insert squish one side down. One side seems to always rub on thigh, don't know if it's because of bulkier cloth diapers. Also a spring for the tray keeps popping off. Disappointing because of price. Have called company but keep missing their calls back to me because of my timing. TIP: Read ENTIRE directions BEFORE assembling if you are using the infant insert!! Had to dis-assemble chair to get the insert in!!! That was a PAIN, literally!

This chair is beautiful and we really do like it. For the price, there are a few features that could be better, but I would still buy it and recommend it. For one, the infant insert gets velcroed to the wooden seat and the Velcro damaged the seat when we removed it to convert to the big kid seat. Also, it's SUPER adjustable (which is awesome) but not super EASY to adjust. It's great for one kid, but would be difficult to share between kids of different sizes. You need to loosen the metal bars/stays with a tool in order to change the height of the seat or footrest. Lastly, the tray is low (like on the baby's lap) which is actually fine, but seemed a little weird at first. We LOVE how wipeable the tray and chair are.
