One of the first things your doctor will mention is that you can’t microwave milk to give to your baby because it can get hot spots that will scald your baby’s mouth. (Yikes!) So how do you warm up milk? Some parents just put a bottle in a bowl of warm water and wait for it to warm, but some find a bottle warmer that also uses warm water to be really useful. With a bottle warmer, the process is straightforward and you know the milk is at the right temp.

The Kiinde is a versatile warmer that’s compatible with nearly everything you’d want to use it with - breastmilk storage bags, baby food jars or pouches, and any type of bottle. It is much wider than most bottle warmers, so it can even fit hefty Comotomo bottles. It warms any meal to a comfortable temp via a water bath that’s about the same temperature as warm tap water. That keeps the food from losing nutrients and avoids hot spots.

It also offers conveniences like a large water reservoir you don’t have to refill each time and an auto shutoff function that keeps food from overheating. These are especially handy for parents who are trying to do a bazillion things at once – and if you have twins and need to heat up many bottles one after the other.

Cleaning this bottle warmer though is intense with different steps to be done after a couple of days, weeks, and months.

It fits most bottles. When ours started have big problems Kiinde was easy to work with on the warranty. I think it was just a chance thing, and they sent us a replacement.

The reality is getting a hot water kettle is more useful longterm. It heats water faster and you can just submerge the pouch into a cup with the hot water.

Takes too long. A kettle works just as well. Not needed if bedroom is on the same floor as kitchen.

We didn’t use bottles for our baby and so I didn’t have the chance to use it.
