What weabout it
A creative and simple swaddle gives your baby natural comfort

Description

Swaddle UP has the distinction of being a zip-up swaddle that lets your baby sleep with their arms up. This natural position gives your baby access to her hands for self-soothing (babies often settle themselves by stroking their cheeks or putting their hands in their mouths), while the fabric “wings” protect her face from fingernail scratches. When your baby can self-soothe, you both get more sleep.

Swaddling helps your baby feel held and secure, and calms the natural startle reflex, especially in the first four months. This helps your baby stay asleep longer. Using a swaddle of any kind instead of covering your baby with a loose blanket is also safer, avoiding extra fabric in the crib or bassinet that can cover your baby’s face or impede breathing.

For those who just can’t seem to get the folds of a blanket swaddle just right, “instant” swaddles like this one can be a great option. The zipper is quick, easy, and quiet (many other swaddles use Velcro), and it will stay on all night. It’s a two-way zipper to boot—you can get to your baby’s legs without undoing the top, which makes diaper changes easier.

Parents also appreciate the super soft fabric: it’s breathable and not too thick, to reduce the risk of overheating. The swaddle fits snugly, so no extra wrapping is needed. But unlike a traditional swaddle, the Swaddle UP is roomier around the hips, leaving space for your baby’s legs to move freely and promoting long-term hip health.

If you love this swaddle, you might consider getting more than one. The wing fabric will get wet if your baby likes to suck her hand.

Keeps baby snug and swaddled but able to move his hands.

I’m not sure at what point you’re supposed to use this in the sleep transition process… We went from a hard-core swaddle, then swaddling with the arms out, then straight to a sleep sack without arms because she needed to be able to access her thumb. I don’t see the purpose of this product.

Easy to use; lots of sizes to grow consistently with baby; not too restricting for baby.

I love the shape of this swaddle (our baby did not like having his arms tucked in in the traditional swaddle) and that it uses a zipper so is easy to operate, especially during middle of the night diaper changes.

Only swaddle, besides blankets, that our wee one would tolerate since he likes his arms up. We switched to the style with zip off sleeves when he started rolling over and now use it as a sleep blanket. DON'T DRY IT!!!

My baby loved being swaddled with her arms up and always slept best in this swaddler. We liked this design because of the two-way zipper that made middle of the night diaper changes super quick and super quiet vs. the loud velcro on some of the other swaddlers we had. The design also doesn't require any actual swaddling which is another huge plus because my daughter is like Houdini and can bust out of pretty much any swaddle, no matter how tight. Also, this makes it looks like your baby has wings which is completely adorable.
