About this Product
  • 2.8-in diagonal color LCD display
  • 590 ft range

Description

A video baby monitor lets you watch real time video of your baby as they sleep, so you can rest assured they are safe and sound. Motorola’s MBP33S has a camera to install where your baby sleeps and a monitor you can carry with you around your home. The portable parent unit has a 2.8-inch color screen, with clear LCD image and a 590-foot range. As a useful bonus, it also displays the temperature in your baby’s room, so you will know if it’s too hot or too cold.

The camera has remote zoom and infrared night vision so you can see and hear your baby day and night. Both camera and monitor are rechargeable, and the set has a two-way communication feature, so you can use it to talk with your partner or child.

The camera has a screw mount if you want to mount it on the wall above the crib (for safety, remember to mount it at least three feet outside the crib). If you have more than one child or one room that you want to monitor, he display unit can also be expanded to connect to up to four cameras with picture-in-picture viewing.

This monitor is very similar to the Motorola MBP33S Wireless Video Baby Monitor which has a 3.5-inch screen and a 1,000-foot reange. There is also the Motorola MBP36XL Baby Monitor which has a 5-inch screen, includes additional features like pan-and-tilt zoom and costs about $40 more.

This monitor is a waste of money. Splurge an extra 25 dollars and get a decent one. The picture isn’t great and ours was defective with a strange static noise while it’s on so we could never sleep with this monitor on and have confidence to hear our child if she woke up. We didn’t realize the monitor wasn’t supposed to have this strange static noise, and we contacted the company a couple months later and they said they couldn’t refund us or replace it because it had been too long. Also the charger broke after two months of use. Not good quality at all!

We got this monitor after our baby shower, set it up after the baby got home. He is a little over 8 months now and the monitor is already dying, the battery doesnt last long anymore, it died without the really loud beeping it normally does in the middle of the night so I had no idea if my son was crying or not. The charge port is now needing wiggling to charge it. In the beginning it was great but it just didnt last long. I am currently researching wifi monitors so I dont have this problem again.

Extremely easy to set up. Tells you temperature in the room. Lightweight, so you can travel with it.

I like it because it works for what we need! I can see and hear my baby very clearly. I can even hear when he takes a sigh and watch his chest rise and fall. I like that I can talk into it and he can hear me. I would love it if it were wireless, but that’s ok! We don’t really need that!

I did A LOT of research on monitors. This one had the best combo of range, battery life, picture clarity and price. I love the temperature reading and the talk back button too. But I do wish it had the ability to rotate the lens in case baby moves out of screen and a wifi app would be excellent.

I love the versatility of this product. I move this to different locations of the house depending on where my son is napping. Also, the night time vision is the best, along with the zoom feature. It is a real life saver when I need to be in a different part of the house but don't want to move a napping baby.

I love that it has great range, you can add multiple cameras to it, and then you can move the camera with the remote. We had the original version too and this one is great because it can have the volume turned all the way down as well. It's easy to use and pretty self explanatory.

It is so nice to be able to see my little one-- to be able to check on him without going into the room and risk waking him up. The picture quality is great and picks up sound VERY well. It's nice to have to option to mute the monitor 😁 but keep the picture on. My husband and I have said multiple times "man, this thing is great!" TIP: If you're traveling, make sure you don't forget either of the cords! The camera won't work unless it's plugged in and the monitor won't keep its charge overnight (and it will wake you up with nice, obnoxiously loud, beeping). I think it would be nice if there was a volume level in between "mute" and the lowest setting. It's pretty loud on the lowest setting which (at least, for me) can be annoying when you're trying to get back to sleep and tune out those nighttime baby noises like rustling around and sighs.
