About this Product

  • 590 ft range
  • Two-way audio
  • Camera pan, tilt, zoom
  • Rechargeable battery

This video baby monitor lets you keep an eye on your baby while they sleep, with real time video and sound. The Motorola MBP36S has a camera to install where your baby sleeps and a monitor you can carry with you around your home. The portable parent unit has a good sized, 3.5-inch color screen, with clear LCD image and a 590-foot range that works well in larger homes.

You can control the camera remotely to pan, tilt and zoom, and it’s equipped with infrared night vision, so you’ll be able to get a good picture even in the dark. An alarm sounds when you’re getting out of range of the transmitting unit, so you’ll never have to wonder if you’re close enough to hear what’s going on. A low battery alert also sounds when you need to recharge.

In addition to live audio from the room, five LED lights on the parent monitor indicate the level of sound activity in the room, giving you a visual of what’s going on if you have the sound turned down. The monitor also has clear two-way communication: you can reassure your baby by voice (or communicate with your partner from another room), or play one of five built-in lullabies. The monitor also displays the temperature in your baby’s room, so you will know if it’s too hot or too cold.

This monitor’s 2.4GHz FHSS technology offers a more reliable wireless connection compared to older wireless technologies. It has a better range and a lower chance of missing something due to a weak or dropped signal. The audio is encrypted to protect your privacy.

You can add additional cameras (sold separately) to use this monitor in up to four rooms of your home, viewing the pictures simultaneously via a split-screen view or rotating from room to room.

Motorola also offers the MBP33S Wireless Video Baby Monitor which is a similar setup with a smaller monitor that is only 2.8 in.

It works well and has a good range. I like that it is not on wifi (I am afraid of hackers!) but it is great and does the job. Simple to use with rechargeable battery

Video and sound are so clear you can actually see and hear them breathing.

I've had nothing but issues with this camera. When it works, it's great. But I've had to have the the monitor power cord replaced 3 times due to a poor connection to the port. And now the wires are exposed on the cord from the wall to the camera, and Motorola will not replace it (and it should be noted, we are gentle with the monitor; it's not due to excessive wear and tear).

The screen is really big which is great when you need hear something in the night and need to quickly assess what's wrong and if it requires actually getting out of bed! Other monitors we've borrowed at friend's houses are tiny and hard to see. The only problem we had is that the camera doesn't rotate very far downward, so you can't put it on a high shelf at the foot of the crib. We remedied this by putting a tiny shelf on the wall just out of reach of the foot of the crib and have the camera there.

The camera quality isn't great and when it pans it's sort of glitchy, but still works just fine!

I don't always love the screen view, from certain angles it becomes very hard to see. I love the adjustability and the options.

Good monitor overall. Has a temperature setting to let me know how warm the room is and image on monitor screen is great. Lens for watching baby would be better if it could range down more, but overall I'm happy with it.
