What weabout it
An affordable bath temperature gauge that’s a favorite toy, too

A bath toy that doubles as a safety device? We’ll take it. With a classic shape and long eyelashes to boot, this ducky will tell you when the bath temperature is too warm (“hot” appears in white letters on the bottom of the duck). The duck floats and it’s watertight, making it easier to keep clean.

Unlike a true bath thermometer, the White Hot Duck doesn’t give a temperature read, just a gauge of when the water is too hot.

  • 3.6” x 2.8” x 2.9”
  • Age 0 mos+
  • The word “Hot” appears in white letters in the blue circle on the bottom of the duck when the bath water is too hot for baby (104 Fahrenheit and higher)

The sensor turns white when the water is not at all warm. I don't think it's very accurate and it probably just gives parents more anxiety than they need.

We use this more as a bath toy than we do for the temperature. It’s not a very good judgement when it comes to testing the temp. It thinks the most Luke warm of water is way too hot.

It does exactly what it says it does by letting you know the water is too hot. I thought she might also like it as a bath toy, but isn't really a fan. The duck is pretty firm and not a pliable material, which makes it harder for her little hands to grab.

The bottom of the duck doesn't do a good enough job gauging the temperature of the water which was the reason I bought it, to inform anyone watching the baby when the water was too hot to put the baby in but the color changes to white even when the water is slightly warm. It would make more sense to have a different color when it is too hot. Opt for a digital thermometer instead!

The temp reader wasn't very clear and took forever to determine the read.

She likes to play with the toy and its nice to know how warm the water is but I am not always confident it is reading the temperature accurately.
