What weabout it
A natural alternative to a conventional pacifier with a butterfly shape and an orthodontic nipple.

Description

Designed in Denmark and made in Italy of 100% natural, sustainable rubber, this soft pacifier follows your baby’s natural mouth movements, simulating a breastfeeding experience. The shield curves down on the top, leaving space for your baby’s nose (Natursutten also makes a pacifier with a rounded shield).

The orthodontic nipple is flat on the bottom and round on the top, mimicking the shape of mom’s nipple during feeding. The shape encourages natural sucking and development and is thought to cause fewer orthodontic issues later in life than a traditional, bell-shaped pacifier. Some babies have a strong preference for nipple shape, so Natursutten also offers a pacifier with a rounded nipple as well.

Natursutten pacifiers are crafted from natural rubber tree sap (aka latex), a material that’s better for the planet and your baby than conventional pacifiers. Made in one solid piece, they have no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate, so they stay cleaner than conventional pacifiers.

Because the company doesn’t use any added chemicals or antioxidants, the rubber will darken over time. The color of the rubber tree sap also varies from harvest to harvest, so pacifiers will vary from light yellow or orange to dark amber, and from transparent to milky right out of the box. The variation is visual proof that you’re getting a natural, chemical-free product.

The down side of Natursutten pacifiers? Since they’re made of natural material, they break down faster than conventional pacifiers and need to be replaced every 6 to 8 weeks.
