What weabout it
A pacifier-like medication dispenser ensures the right dose with less fuss

Description

Invented by a doctor for her own daughter, the Pacidose medication dispenser is a soft nipple with a tiny tube inside and an attached syringe. You fill the syringe with medicine and, when your baby is sucking on the nipple, slowly push the syringe plunger in to deliver the medication right into your baby’s mouth. The dispenser helps you get the right dose of medication without fussing.

Parents generally like the Pacidose, but like most products, it’s not perfect. With daily use, the measurement markings on the outside of the syringe will wear off. Thankfully, the syringe is easy to replace: any standard oral syringe from the drugstore will work. If you need to dispense more medicine, you can also use it with larger, 10 mL syringes.

It’s important to note that while the Pacidose looks and feels just like a pacifier, it isn’t one. It’s meant to be used only for dispensing medicine, and you should never leave your child alone with it.

I have wasted so much medicine dosing my son with an oral syringe only. Obviously your child should be able to take a pacifier in order to get good results with this product, but if he does, this takes the guesswork out of the, "oh crap, how much did he actually swallow before spitting it out??"

Very cheaply made and so each piece broke within a few weeks of using it. First, the pacifier had a piece of plastic break off from around the dispensing hole and then shortly after the dispensing syringe broke too. It's a great concept and super useful, but hard to recommend for the price with how quickly it broke.
