What weabout it
This soft silicone pacifier is a preferred hospital brand, prevents nipple confusion, and is perfectly shaped for a newborn baby’s mouth.

Description

The Soothie is one of the most nipple-like pacifiers around, and is frequently hospital’s choice for preventing nipple confusion. (Although you still should wait until breastfeeding is well-established, around three or four weeks old, before you introduce any pacifiers). They are sized and shaped perfectly for a newborn baby’s mouth. They’re made from medical-grade silicone, which means they are nice and soft and won’t leave a red ring on your baby’s face like a hard plastic pacifier.

One unexpected bonus: since this pacifier is translucent, you can see the shape of your baby’s mouth when they are sucking. Why does this matter? It doesn’t really matter, but it’s kind of fun. We can’t begin to describe how cute but also weird and funny this looks (parents say “adorable suckerfish” and “my cute little lamprey.”)

If you want a Soothie, but with a stuffed animal attached, try the Wubbanub.

It kept our baby calm without compromising our efforts to nurse. Don’t be afraid to use a pacifier. If used properly and introduced after breastfeeding has been properly established, a pacifier can help save your sanity.

They were very large all around and didn't have any bend to them. Very hard for my son to keep it in his mouth b/c it didn't have a dip like some other pacifiers.

Easily to clean, easy to connect to a pacifier clip, and my baby loved them.

It’s the only pacifier my baby wouldn’t spit out.

These pacifiers are super for teeny babies. It's good to have them around the house in abundance. I didn't discover a wubbanub until much later, but had I known about it sooner, I would've purchased less of the regular soothies and a wubbanub instead since it's easier for baby to grab onto and stays in place better than the soothies.

The pacifiers are of great quality. My son simply did not like the shape. They fell out of his mouth constantly and he’d cry until I put it back in for him. We switched to mam which is shaped differently and sits in his mouth better.

My baby boy's favorite pacifier. Won't take any other!

These are the only pacifiers my daughter would take.

It’s a great pacifier, and makes a great teething toy later, too! BUT the shape of it worsens a high palate, which a lot of babies have, so that’s why I like it but not love it.
