What weabout it
This soft silicone pacifier is a preferred hospital brand, prevents nipple confusion, and is perfectly shaped for a newborn baby’s mouth.

Description

The Soothie is one of the most nipple-like pacifiers around, and is frequently hospital’s choice for preventing nipple confusion. (Although you still should wait until breastfeeding is well-established, around three or four weeks old, before you introduce any pacifiers). They are sized and shaped perfectly for a newborn baby’s mouth. They’re made from medical-grade silicone, which means they are nice and soft and won’t leave a red ring on your baby’s face like a hard plastic pacifier.

One unexpected bonus: since this pacifier is translucent, you can see the shape of your baby’s mouth when they are sucking. Why does this matter? It doesn’t really matter, but it’s kind of fun. We can’t begin to describe how cute but also weird and funny this looks (parents say “adorable suckerfish” and “my cute little lamprey.”)

If you want a Soothie, but with a stuffed animal attached, try the Wubbanub.

Our kid just didn't like these. Couldn't keep them in his mouth.

Little one didn't take pacifiers for long, but loved these. Easy for him to hold and since they're silicone, he could chew on any part of it when he started teething. Since it's all one piece, they were easy to keep clean, as well.
