Keep an eye—and an ear—on your baby with this monitor from Philips. The wall-mountable camera has a 2X zoom and pan, as well as automatic infrared night vision, so you can see your baby even in the dark. The camera pairs with a rechargeable, portable handset via adaptive FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology for a secure, private collection with minimal interference.

The handset has a 3.5-inch color LED screen with excellent resolution, and thanks to its 900 foot range, you can use it anywhere in your home. Comfort your little one by using the talkback feature, nightlight and lullabies.

A battery-saving voice-activation feature switches on the screen and sound if your baby begins to cry, and a customizable temperature sensor immediately alerts you if the climate in your baby’s room changes. There are indicator lights to show you when the system is linked and indicate the sound level in the room, and there’s a backup battery function in case the power goes out. The handset battery holds a charge overnight, which not all monitors can do.

Finally, parents who travel internationally will appreciate that this baby monitor is compatible with 110–240 volt power, so it can be used in the US and abroad.

The picture quality could be a little better, but I think that's a matter of the lighting in our room and where the camera is positioned.
