The flash light makes it so much easier to see their tiny nails, and it’s easy to hold and use.

The light. It's a love/hate relationship. I love being able to see what I'm clipping but it's next to impossible to try and use when my daughter is anywhere close to awake, the light totally distracts her.

The clipper works great, but it’s still a little dangerous for infants and the nail file doesn’t work at all. It’s too dull.

It's easy to use and the built in light is very helpful. The light doesn't bother my baby when I'm clipping his nails when he's sleeping.

The lights make it easy to see tiny fingernails without having to reposition baby in a well lit area. I wouldn't have thought lights were so essential on a clipper but they make a terrifying process so much easier and safer.

The light is very helpful, but the plastic edge on the side of the clippers sometimes makes it challenging to get close enough to baby’s fingernail.

Safety First clippers are easy to use, having a big handle for an adult-sized hand and a small clipper for a baby-sized finger nail. This LED edition is great for cutting nails in dim lighting. The light allows you to see the baby’s hand, finger, and nail well. The batteries are long-lasting for normal use. This LED edition is ideal if you’re planning to cut nails when baby is napping, nursing, or snoozing. If you plan to cut your baby’s nails in good lighting while he or she is alert, the LED lighted clippers can be a nuisance as it can attract baby’s attention and grasping fingers. If you plan to cut nails during bath time, the LED lighted clippers are not a waterproof option. Safety First makes great clippers with or without the light. Consider how you’ll use them to decide whether or not to go with the LED light. Or register for one pair of LED light and one pair without.

The light is great and it is sharper and better than the one that comes in the kit.

These clippers make it difficult to see what you're doing. The first time I used them I snipped the top of my infant's thumb. I prefer using scissors after this.
