A Safe Haven for Newborns Baby Shower

First of all, thank you for visiting this page! From October to December 9th, I am working with A Safe Haven For Newborns to collect donations in whatever form, whether that be a monetary donation or a physical donation, to provide essential needs to greet the arriving babies at the participating safe havens. A Safe Haven For Newborns is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating infant abandonment and assist pregnant girls and women to realize a productive future. Our world is experiencing an escalating crisis in which mothers keep their pregnancies a secret, and then after delivery, dispose of the baby in dumpsters, fields, canals, hotel bathrooms, and other hazardous places that often results in death. This decision unfortunately leads to the loss of two lives by destroying the life of the baby and inadvertently criminalizing the mother. By Florida law, the person in possession of the newborn can leave the child with someone at any of the following safe havens: hospitals, staffed fire rescue stations, and staffed emergency medical service stations. This process is 100% anonymous, free of questions, and free of fear of prosecution. The safe haven will then contact a participating private adoption agency who will then arrange placement of the baby with a waiting family. This process leads to a positive outcome for all involved: a child’s life is saved, a mother or father is saved from a lifetime of guilt and anguish, and the hopes of a family waiting to adopt a child are fulfilled. In 2018, 28 babies were left at safe havens and 2 were abandoned in unsafe locations. In this year alone, 12 babies have been left at safe havens and 0 abandoned in unsafe locations. Since the founding of A Safe Haven For Newborns in 2000, 322 newborns have been saved from abandonment in Florida and over 5000 girls/women have been assisted in their time of need. To help, you can purchase something off this registry on your own or as a group effort, or Venmo me at Hannah-Rodriguez-64. I will use the donated money I receive through Venmo to meet the remaining needs. Thank you so much for giving both a child and parent potential!
