Jolene's Baby Registry

Arrival Date January 16, 2022

Dearest Friends and Family, I can't tell you how touched I am by your gift of support for me as I embark on this new adventure of motherhood.

If you didn't already know... long story short- I came home from my 6 month immersive Spanish learning experience with an unexpected little miracle forming inside me. While I never planned to be a single mom, I am beyond thrilled to have this child and this incredible dream of an opportunity (one I had thought had passed me by already). This little man has already stolen my heart and become the light of my life. (Of course I am terrified as well, and will welcome any advice that you experienced parents wish to impart!)

More than anything, your moral and emotional support is what I will need and rely on the most through the coming years.

Thank you for loving and caring for me and gathering around me to be the village that will help me raise my son.

This registry is robust, but I am aware that I do not need all the luxuries on it. I will gladly receive hand-me-down equivalents (especially clothes!) and anything else you choose to give, if nothing on the registry tickles your fancy. Me and the babe...we aren't picky 😊. We are grateful for all your demonstrations of love, even if it is a supportive hug!

Some little notes about unique things on the registry:

This little guy is going to be bilingual, and I'll be speaking to him in Spanish at home, not only because his Papá only speaks Spanish, but because it is important for his development to learn a second language early. I added bilingual books to the registry because that would be such a thoughtful and necessary gift for our little family.

I also have added some Montessori type toys because over the years I've thought a lot about how I would like to teach my child. I've felt for many years that I want to keep toys and books simple and free of loud distractions. I tell you this as a way of explaining why I am asking for simple, soundless and plain toys. I ask you to support me in my somewhat hippie, granola-type endeavors to raise my son and help me along the way if you can.

Above all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. It means the world to me that you are here, reading this, and showing me your love. I am eternally grateful to you.

¡Besos y abrazos! (Kisses and hugs!)
