She is here! Frankie joined us earthside on Friday at 2:44 pm. She is 5 pounds 4 ounces and rocking it for arriving at 33 weeks 1 day. We will most likely be in the NICU through the end of October.

Hi friends and family, as many of you have heard, we’ve had some complications arise in the second half of our pregnancy. While Frankie (Frances Caffrey Mills ♥️) remains healthy, I was recently hospitalized due to active bleeding & contractions from placenta previa at 26 weeks. We happened to be in Missouri & are so grateful to the team at MIZZOU Women’s Hospital for taking care of us and both our families and friends for helping us during and since. We’ve stabilized and returned to Fayetteville, but I am officially on modified bed rest (aka house arrest) until baby arrives.

Any additional bleeding episodes mean that I’ll be admitted for monitored bed rest in the hospital or that we could deliver at any moment. We are still hoping for 36 or 37 weeks for a scheduled C-Section (end of October), but there is a very real chance that Frankie could arrive at any moment. As we continue to process these recent events and the ramifications — including no in-person showers — we’ve so appreciated all your care and prayers.

As a doer, I’m particularly struggling with not being able to prep & plan & move & organize but I’m reminding myself that every day Frankie stays put is a success and that we have such an amazing community in all of you.
