Miranda & Greg's Baby Registry
We're having a baby! From liver surgery to brain surgery and everything in between we've overcome so much and are now in tip-top shape to welcome a little one. Thanks for being a part of our village!
Here's a little poem I adore:
My Motherhood Monologue
If I choose to always grow,
maybe they will bloom like a wildflower.
If I make art of my everyday,
they too will fill their days with color.
If I let tears fall always when they need,
perhaps they'll water the earth with an open heart.
If I'm clumsy-crazy and all about their dad,
a beautiful love is what their heart will search for.
If I let him forever romance me in the wake of day, they will never know less.
If I say "I'm sorry," even when it's hard, maybe they'll be quick to forgive others.
If I choose to speak life in vibrant and rich colors, beige words won't settle in their heart.
If I leave pretty love notes, handwritten on
every wall, affirmations will hold the depth of their soul.
If choose the uncomfy and forever shake up
my ways, maybe they too will stand to live bold and brave.
If I take time to be alone and make dreaming a practice, they'll learn solitude is important, a golden gift to seek.
If I look in the mirror and speak kind and gentle words, they too will forever know their worth.
If I fill our house with flowers, music, and sweet, loving scents, maybe the silhouette of home will always be warmth.
If our front door is always open to those who are in need, they'll learn the purpose of life.
If I pray out loud and have real conversations with God, maybe they'll move mountains with their voice.
If I tell them I love them a million times a day, maybe, just maybe, they'll know:
even in my flaws.
my lack.
and my mistakes.
I gave them my entire heart.
My motherhood monologue. -Tess Guinery
