Baby Holbert's Registry

HI everyone!

Little baby Holbert will make his/her debut on or around July 3. There are a few things needed, so thank you for looking at the registry, and even mores for your support in a myriad of ways as friends and family.

You have already made a difference. To quote Julie Norris, "Your gift giving depends on your time, talent, location and pocketbook. Everyone has different strengths and we appreciate every gesture." Words of support and encouragement, assistance with resources (i.e. nursery prep; advice on pediatricians, nanny/daycare, and midwives/doulas, etc.), hand-me-downs, loans, gifts that you create, favors, as well as new items are definitely welcome.

As far as STUFF goes: the COLOR PALETTE and THEME favor bold colors and earth tones. Think of the hues, animals, sea and foliage of the great outdoors: greens, yellows, teals, oranges, magentas/purples, ocean blues, and greys. Animals, wacky and creative items are always fun. Overall, the aim is for natural, non-toxic, positive messages, educational and aesthetic. And...whimsy, creativity and anything with elephants or arrows are welcome whenever possible!

Note you'll find some larger ticket items that are much needed. Feel free to co-purchase as a group or send cash/gift certificates toward the purchase of those items. You'll also see many smaller items and a few things like "babysitting" and "home cooked meals." Just know that your friendship and moral support mean the most right now. Anything beyond that is icing on the cake.

HOW DOES BABY-SIT WORK? We are registered at both Target and Babies R Us, but most of the items you will find on this online format. Unlike traditional registries, we have listed desired items, and usually provide at least one possible retail or online store where you can find the items.

HOW DO I PURCHASE A GIFT? Review the list. By default, you will see items that haven't been purchased. (You can change views if you wish to see the full list.)

1) Choose an item to purchase; click the RESERVE BUTTON to ensure no one else purchases that gift.

2) Enter your NAME and EMAIL. (BabyList will never spam you; they will just send you a confirmation email.)

3) Go to the WEBSITE or STORE and purchase the item. Frankly, unless a specific vendor is indicated, you can go to your favorite similar store to purchase the item, get it second-hand, or from your storage. (To ship directly, please e-mail Carolyn or me to get the address).

4) CHANGE YOUR MIND? If for any reason you can't purchase the item or want to purchase a different one, click the UNRESERVE ITEM link in the e-mail you receive from BabyList. This allows another person to give the item.
