Smart-Voltz Baby Registry

Arrival Date May 14, 2021

Thank you for helping us welcome Baby Smart-Voltz to the world! We appreciate you celebrating with us and considering a gift to help us care for our little family. ❤️

This registry shows our wish list items from various stores, where you can filter by store if you’d like. If you're using Amazon, you can select a charity to receive a 0.5% donation at no additional cost by checking out at smile.amazon.com. (If you're looking for suggestions, we recommend the Vera Institute of Justice, Equal Justice Initiative, or Feeding America.)

With sustainability in mind, we also welcome secondhand/used/hand-me-down baby gear, clothes, or books. (You know Noelle loves a good thrift find!)

Gender Reveal: We won’t be finding out the sex of the baby until they arrive! We’ll announce their full name then, but they’ll have the last name “Smart-Voltz.”

Nursery Theme: Our nursery theme is “retro space tourism” – imagine vintage National Parks tourism (a nod to Ranger Joe's job!) if there were national parks on other planets. It may sound a little out-of-this-world, but we’re using these NASA posters as a starting point and will be decorating with space-themed decor: www.jpl.nasa.gov/galleries/visions-of-the-future

Clothes: We didn’t register for many clothes beyond the basics – since babies outgrow sizes so quickly, secondhand clothes are GREAT gifts, and we’d love to receive a range of sizes for their first year. We especially like bright, fun colors or muted neutrals, so don’t feel restricted by gender-neutral colors like yellow/green pastel only – though that's cute, too!

Other notes: We have decided to do cloth diapering, so we do not need disposable diapers or wipes.

HOW TO USE BABYLIST:

A big difference between Babylist and traditional registries is that it does NOT automatically mark a gift as "purchased," so it's important to note the difference between "reserved" and "purchased":

1. Once you've selected a gift you want to give, you can mark a gift as "reserved" until you are ready to make your purchase, so duplicates aren't purchased. Once you reserve a gift, you'll receive an email that provides you with our mailing address, if you don't have it already.

2. Once you have purchased a gift, please return back to the registry to select "I've purchased this" next to the item.

3. If you've changed your mind about a gift you marked as "reserved," no worries - please make sure to unreserve the item by selecting "cancel reservation." Otherwise, others won't be able to see that the gift is still available for purchase on the registry.
