Hello Beloved Friends and Family! Woah! Baby is (yes, finally) on the way, and it couldn’t be a more exciting time for Mama. We will be living together in 300sqft, so there is VERY limited space. Luckily, as a baby/postpartum worker, this mama knows how little gear babies truly need. We already have all the clothes and toys we can handle, and then some! We aren’t doing disposable diapers or pacifiers. We have all the bottles and soaps and balms and baby carriers and receiving blankets we could ever desire. Really, we require very little in the way of “baby stuff.” That said, here is a smattering of things we could truly use. I'm a professional postpartum and parenting support coach/doula. Most items specific to infants are usually things I explicitly recommend against. Here I've listed a few pieces that are meant for toddlerhood and beyond. Some of these are big ticket items that I expect to buy myself. If you would like to contribute a gift to celebrate this much-anticipated new person, you have our enormous appreciation for your generosity! I am excited to sew for Baby, and there are several specific items that I can't wait to make. In lieu of clothing or blankets, consider sewing supplies instead. Books are listed here in Spanish and German - these are languages I'm learning and harder to find at the library. I already have a million English language books and a very well loved library card! When in doubt, a gift card for Etsy or Amazon is the absolute best possible way to go. It will make it easier on us to get our big wishes. Plus, I live in a tax-free state, so gift cards go further from over here. Ultimately, please don't worry about gifts. We just want to connect with you! We're so grateful to have your support as we become a little family with a big, beautiful community. We love you! This little Bean can’t wait to hug you! Xoxo.
