What weabout it
This lightweight pump is designed for occasional use but performs like it’s built to do it all day long.

About this Product
  • Bottle stand helps prevent spills
  • Compatible with multiple breastshield sizes
  • Doesn’t require a plug or batteries

Description

Since this breast pump is powered by your hand compressing the handle over and over, you don’t have to worry about plugging into an electrical outlet or having fresh batteries at the ready. But doing all the pumping action yourself can get tiresome.

That’s why this pump is best suited for moms who only need to use a breast pump from time to time. The pump uses a two-phase suction system to stimulate your milk flow in the same way that let-down does when nursing. That means you express more milk in less time.

The pump is lightweight and easy to toss in a bag. And unlike electrical breast pumps, there’s no obnoxious motor hum. Some moms even swear it does the job faster (albeit one breast at a time) than an electrical breast pump.

It's great to have on hand when you may need a pump but can't bring your electric pump or if you don't plan to pump. I would recommend getting the help of a friend who's used one before or a lactation counselor but it's relatively easy to use and is a life saver to have on hand when you need it!

This thing works! I have dysphoric let-down and this pump was a life saver. It didn't trigger my dysphoria as strongly as the electric pump, and because I was able to get pumping right away and stay with it my supply has been really good. Word of caution, the O-rings are easy to lose and Medela doesn't sell them separately. It's a major bummer, as the off-brand ones I found online aren't as good. All in all, really easy to use reliable pump, could be better supported by Medela. Great for travel, great for back-up (i.e. not sure there will be power), and if you are unlucky enough to have dysphoric let-down, might be a good alternative to electric pumps (was in my case).

So easy to use and clean. Great for taking with you on the move or traveling! It's so small and works much better for me than my electric pump!

I found this manual pump helpful in the early days of pumping, especially when trying to regulate my milk supply. I kept it on the bedside table for those nights when baby would sleep longer than usual and I would have very full breasts. I would then manually pump out an once or two for relief. However, I found it difficult to use at times and the suction quite weak. In fact, there were times the parts were not aligned correctly and I couldn't get any suction at all. Quite frustrating at 2am to say the least.

It's great for a few pumps on the go but quickly looses suction. It's so far the best hand pump out there in my opinion.

This is handy for traveling but takes too long for everyday use.

It’s a great grab and go, take it on the road, throw it in the diaper bag, it works great without the cords and noise of an electric pump.

It wasn't the easiest to use and figure out as a new mom, being tired and wanting to get pumping done as quick as possible to go back to sleep was the goal. I also received a small electric pump that was much easier and convenient.

Very painful and inefficient.
