Description

Every baby is different. Some babies will take to any bottle with no fuss. Others are very particular about which bottle they like.

Babylist Bottle Box offers a great solution to the feedback we often hear from our community—that new parents tend to register for or buy a whole set of bottles only to realize they aren’t the right fit. This box lets baby and you try out a variety of bottle shapes and styles to see which ones your family prefers, before you commit to buying multiples of one bottle.

Babylist Bottle Box contains five of the most popular bottles among Babylist parents, and it makes a great baby shower gift.

All of the nipples are Stage 1/Slow Flow for newborns, but please note that each brand’s nipple flow will slightly vary.

Here’s what’s in the Babylist Bottle Box:

Comotomo Baby Bottle

Designed for babies who switch between the breast and bottle, the Comotomo has an extra-wide nipple and base. You (or baby) can squeeze the flexible base which lets more milk out, similar to nursing.

Lansinoh Feeding Bottle

Crafted with a wide, textured base and gentle slope, the soft, flexible, 100% silicone nipple makes it easier for babies to latch and control the flow of milk. The bottle also includes an anti-colic Air Ventilation System to minimize gas-related discomfort.

Dr. Brown’s Options+ Narrow Bottle (Polypropylene)

This bottle features a two-part internal vent that helps prevent newborns from swallowing air, which can cause tummy troubles. It also helps preserve oxygen-sensitive nutrients. Remove the vent and it transforms into a traditional bottle.

Philips Avent Anti-colic Bottle with AirFree Vent

The removable AirFree vent is designed to draw air away from the nipple which keeps it full of milk, even when the bottle is horizontal. Reducing the amount of air baby ingests helps with common feeding issues like colic, reflux and gas.

Boon NURSH

The NURSH features a 100% silicone pouch that collapses as baby drinks. This squeezes out air that can cause gas and colic. No straws, vents or valves, so it’s simple to clean and assemble.

Note: if baby will be exclusively breastfeeding, we suggest waiting to introduce any bottle until baby has been nursing at least four weeks and knows how to latch.

What we  about it

A giftable box of five popular baby bottles that lets new parents try out different ones to see which works best for them—before buying a whole set.

Pay Attention to the Nipple!
TLDR: First time breastfeeding mamas, the most important thing about your bottle is the nipples flow rate! And when in doubt, go ahead and call the lactation consultant!

As a first time mom planning to breastfeed, I added this sampler box to my registry thinking it would give me a variety of bottles to try when we were ready to introduce them once my baby was a few weeks old. When breastfeeding did not go well and we needed bottles to feed my newborn baby pumped breastmilk, the nipples

Just get Phillips Avent or Dr Brown bottles
Two stars out of five because my newborn and I only like two bottles: dr brown and avent.
The other silicon ones are hard to read on the surface or can't really see how much formula is left when my baby is being fed.

Variety issue but still good
I do wish there was some more variety. Two of these bottles are like the most popular baby bottles so I understand why they are there but I feel like because they are much more well known it would have been nice to explore other options. Ultimately my baby didnt take well to any of these bottles (which isn’t the box’s fault) but I feel like two of the bottles we had already tried due to their popularity. One that ended up working is a mason jar baby bottle option, which is still glass and I feel

Avoid if breastfeeding
Put this on my registry thinking it would be great for a new baby, you never know what bottles the will take to, but upon further research I found that the majority of the bottles are not conducive to bireastfeeding/supporting a deep latch (the triangle method). My baby didn’t take to any of them. They prefer the nuk and lansinoh bottles that have a triangle nipple

Not really a variety
Even tho there is variety, no variety in nipple shape. I was gifted this and honestly my baby hates them all. She needed up loving nuk. The nipples are triangle shaped and have a softer natural feel.

Wish variety was better
I really wanted to love this box! The idea is fantastic. However... I find it frustrating that it includes the Dr. Brown's and Philips bottles, because these plastic bottles are available free in most baby registry boxes. By the time I was ready to try the bottles from this box, I had already tried both plastic versions and realized they weren't going to be the best bottles for my baby. I wish these bottles were replaced by something else that I couldn't already try a version of for free -- to me it really decreased the value of the box.

Excited
Just as described. Can't wait until baby boy gets here in a few weeks. I always wanted to try glass bottles but my youngest wouldn't take any bottles. So this will be perfect for baby number three.
