Overview

Description

Esembly diapers are made up of two products: an absorbent Inner and a waterproof Outer (sold separately). The soft, organic cotton Inner is the part of the diaper that provides the absorbency.

To ensure its effectiveness, Esembly has designed it with a uniquely layered core that maximizes washability and absorbency.

The Inners come in two sizes and are made to grow with baby. The waist snaps allow for adjustments to accommodate expanding bellies, while the rippled core and stretchy elastic at the legs will expand as baby gets taller.

Here’s how it works:

  • Put a fresh Inner on your baby at each change.
  • Cover the Inner with a waterproof Outer to make a complete diaper.
  • Change an awake baby every 2-3 hours, or immediately if poop is detected.
  • To accommodate long nighttime sleep stretches, boost the absorbency of your diaper with Ultra-Absorbent Overnight Cloth Diaper Boosters (sold separately)

If cloth diapering full-time, they recommend having 24 Inners and 6 Outers. Inners require laundering after each use, whereas Outers can be used multiple times before washing.

Launder your Inners and Outers every 2-3 days using Esembly Washing Powder (or similar clean-rinsing detergent) as per the Esembly’s 4-step wash instructions.

1 Question
For size 1, does it necessary to have outer layer, let’s say if we’re staying home all day? For my understanding the outer layer is only for like going outside, traveling, or water/pool time. ?

Best Answer:  Yes, the Outer cover is necessary even when staying at home all day. The Esembly system is designed as a two-part system where the Inner provides absorbency but isn't waterproof on its own. The Outer cover is what prevents leaks and blowouts onto clothing and furniture.

Once we got the hang of it, I will never use disposables with any of our future children. Everytime I use a disposable, my baby has a blowout. We’ve only had 2-4 blowouts EVER with these diapers and we’re still new to this (almost 5 mo). We do an overnighter at night with one change over 10 hours. Sometimes we may have a tiny pee out the side, but usually I notice some of the inner is showing when this happens. My only downfall is my girl gets a rash on both thighs and back if I’m not adamant

How long should they last?
I have been using cloth diapers full time for all three of my babies. We absolutely love Esembly diapers. They are easy to use, wash well, and we have never had a blowout in them EVER! The only reason for my 4 stars and not 5 is that my inners are going out on us. We are currently 8 months into baby number 3, and losing snaps and the fabric ripping and tearing left and right. I am not surprised at this happening - we have extremely hard water where I live, and (combined) we've been using these

No rashes, no blow outs. Just moved my 3. 5 month old in size 2s. He’s a big boy and we’re happy for the great transition.

What a seamless and easy system Esembly has made! I used flats with my previous two, and while I appreciate how trim those are the ease and convenience of these for baby 3 is unmatched.

We do cloth diapers and home and disposables for overnight and when we are out and about. Breastfed baby!

Baby seems happy with both cloth diapers and disposable diapers, so we are happy to be able to use the cloth ones from time to time to reduce our environmental footprint.
