Overview

Description

Esembly diapers are made up of two products: an absorbent Inner and a waterproof Outer (sold separately). The soft, organic cotton Inner is the part of the diaper that provides the absorbency.

To ensure its effectiveness, Esembly has designed it with a uniquely layered core that maximizes washability and absorbency.

The Inners come in two sizes and are made to grow with baby. The waist snaps allow for adjustments to accommodate expanding bellies, while the rippled core and stretchy elastic at the legs will expand as baby gets taller.

Here’s how it works:

  • Put a fresh Inner on your baby at each change.
  • Cover the Inner with a waterproof Outer to make a complete diaper.
  • Change an awake baby every 2-3 hours, or immediately if poop is detected.
  • To accommodate long nighttime sleep stretches, boost the absorbency of your diaper with an Overnighter (sold separately).
  • When soiled, set aside in the Day Bag or Pail Pouch until laundry day.

If cloth diapering full-time, they recommend having 24 Inners and 6 Outers. Inners require laundering after each use, whereas Outers can be used multiple times before washing.

Launder your Inners and Outers every 2-3 days using Esembly Washing Powder (or similar clean-rinsing detergent) as per the Esembly’s 4-step wash instructions.

Poop gets stuck in the stiching

They got my baby well and are easy to prep before use (just wash them once). However, the stitching used to keep the inter layers together, poop gets stuck there all the time. I use the agitators, turn them inside out, and use the esembly washing powder. Still poop remains after two washes. I only bought size 1 inner and when my baby sizes out I’ll replace them with GMD workhorses or some other fitter inner diaper. They also take a long time to dry, but that’s common with fitted diapers.

Better than expected

I love these diapers, they are very absorbent and easy to clean. This is our first baby and a lot of people were saying that cloth diapers would be difficult, it is very basic and in my opinion worth it. the only thing is I would suggest, is to get enough diapers for how frequent you want to do laundry. We have to wash her diapers every two days because we only have so much but she’s already about to have to go to the next size up anyways cause she’s a big girl 😂

We love these diapers!

I have heard great things about esembly, but to see them myself I’m convinced this is the easiest and most high quality way to cloth diaper. We only got a few but I’m definitely making another order so we can full time cloth diaper! Highly recommend!

Best cloth diaper I've used!
This review was collected as part of a promotion
I love that these are cotton. They dry better than all-in-ones and are easier to use than pockets. They also wash easily. They're not too bulky like other cloth diapers are though they can be large when you size up. My only complaints are that there are a couple seams holding the pad down that can collect poop and that the size 1's started to leak when my baby was 14lbs. We sized up though and haven't had any more leak problems. I think how long the size 1's last varies baby to baby. We had some issues with leaking but Esembly has great customer service and helped me out!

Lots of people advised against cloth diapers, but we decided it was what we wanted to do. Ensemble diapers have made it supper easy and have converted nay sayers.
