What weabout it
This compact swing is about a third of the size of others, and has five speeds and an MP3 player hookup.

The 4moms rockaRoo is a sleek swing that sits low to the ground and rocks back and forth in a motion designed to soothe babies. At about a third of the size of a traditional swing, the rockaRoo is a compact option that is a sensible choice for small spaces.

This model doesn’t have as many motion settings as the high-tech 4moms mamaRoo, but many babies love the basic back-and-forth gliding motion, a feature that has made this brand quite popular. An MP3 plug-in allows parents to tailor the music or soundscape, which means you won’t be hearing the same built-in sounds again and again. An overhead mobile suspends three reversible plush toys, black and white on one side and full color on the other.

The seat fabric is removable and machine washable.

Keep in mind: This product is not approved for sleep.

The cheaper option of the 4moms rockers - it is great for lulling your baby to sleep or giving them somewhere to hang out before they're mobile. I didn't love how it made a rubbing noise when rocking back and forth - while it is sill quiet, I expected it to be quieter. My baby loved it though and did not mind. Once she turned 6mo though she was too mobile to stay in it for any amount of time without trying to escape!

My kid was never interested in it, and for the price I was expecting a lot more. I was also surprised how quickly it stopped rocking properly once my baby got to a certain weight.

It never seemed to work right. It has a dial of different speeds but is pretty much just one speed. Even at the lowest, it would rock until it hit the back and make a big "thud, thud, thud" I thought maybe my son was just too light for it at first, but as he grew, it was always the same. Then it started only working half the time. It would act like it was unbalanced or something, and just blink and then turn off. It's just been used as a little seat, not a rocker. Sad because I really wanted to like it.

I would have preferred the upgraded version with more settings and rocking modes for my LO.

As expensive as this was sadly, my daughter didn’t love it as much as I wanted her to. Initially she fell asleep in it but then I don’t think she liked the seat very much as it’s not very enclosed (she liked the Rock n’ Play better) and the mobile was boring. I would recommend waiting until your baby arrives and trying it out if you know a friend or someone who has one because if you have a baby who prefers to be snuggled they won’t like it.

I purchased the rockaRoo because it had the smallest footprint of similar swings -- my child never really enjoyed it, it was too "boring" for him, and for the money I wish it could swivel sideways for a side to side rock. I wanted to love this, but did not.

Perfect motion and bucket seat, a few different speeds (who needs 1 million settings?!)

It rocks slow-fast like a swing in one back and forth direction. There are different speeds.

No speed settings.
