Description
Created with newborns in mind, BabyBjorn’s Baby Carrier Mini Mesh is a smaller, more lightweight update to their Original Carrier, and it’s geared to the needs of new babies and parents. Use the carrier to keep your hands free while you satisfy your baby’s need for closeness. It’s designed to carry your baby high on your chest, so they can feel your heartbeat.
Unlike some other carriers and slings, the Mini is very easy to use, with just a few adjustable buckles. You can get it on quickly to comfort your little one, which makes a big difference in those newborn weeks. And unlike BabyBjorn’s other carriers, with the Mini you can unfasten the entire front section to transfer your sleeping baby directly to their bed.
The Baby Carrier Mini is made with a lightweight mesh that’s soft to the touch and fosters physical connection. The carrier gently hugs your newborn’s back, legs and hips to provide support in a comfortable ergonomic position. You can feel your baby’s body well through the fabric, so you can check their position and the natural C-curve of spine with you hands. The carrier has adjustable head and neck support as well. The small size and lightweight fabric means that this carrier folds up small enough to pack in your diaper bag or stroller basket. Prefer a different fabric? The Babybjörn Baby Carrier Mini is also available in 100% cotton and 3D jersey.
Your baby should ride facing in for the first few months, but at five months, you can also choose a face-out position. The Baby Carrier Mini is safe to use with babies up to 12 months old and 24 pounds, so once your baby reaches those limits, you can transition to the Bjorn Harmony Carrier, which can be used up to 36 months.

Would you say this is a good carrier to have the straps on under a coat to baby wear during the winter while running errands? Easy to add front piece of carrier and baby in right rom car seat and zip them up.

Super comfortable and easy to use! I recommend going somewhere that has carriers and trying them on to find what works best for you. My husband and I are very different heights and this carrier is very easy to adjust which made it perfect for us

The best carrier around!
This is the 4th carrier I have tried & by far my favorite. My baby is comfy, secure, I don’t get as hot carrying him around & I feel supported in my back. I wish I would have had one with my daughter when she was born!

The place to sleep !

Decent carrier for ftm
Baby seems to tolerate this carrier well and often falls asleep in it on outings. I appreciate the head support. It is a bit of a pain to get on in a hurry with a squirmy baby. It’s also tricky to fully readjust the straps once baby is already in. I eventually switched to another carrier with more lower back support.

Fantastic design, super comfy & robust
This was purchased for a colleague for their first-born & was based on our experience with our Baby-Bjorn that we used with our two sons. We found ours to super comfortable for both baby & parent, not to mention robust - we've kept ours in storage & it still looks brand new.
We would have no problem recommending Baby Bjorn to any prospective parent (and quite often do so!!)

Get something with more support
This is good for about two months, maybe. My baby is in the less than one percentile at 7months old and this thing KILLS my back. He weighs 14lbs right now so I can’t even imagine trying to continue to carry him until the 24lb weight limit. I’ve been using the moby wrap and have been borrowing a friends Ergobaby carrier. They both have much better back support.

Love it, perfect for newborns
Love this carrier! I did a ton of research on carriers and it was important to me to have something comfortable that both my husband (6'2" 220 lbs) and I would use for baby wearing. I have the Ergobaby for when baby is bigger/older but I wanted something for the first few months to wear not only in public, but around the house.
