What weabout it
Compact countertop unit fits bottles, pump parts and more, steam sterilizing in minutes.

Description

Countertop sterilizers are tremendously convenient for keeping bottles and breast pump parts clean, especially in your baby’s early months when things need to be sanitized several times a day and the alternative is a pot of boiling water.

The Philips-Avent 3-in-1 Electric Steam Sterilizer generates intense steam—it gets even hotter than a dishwasher—to kill 99.9 percent of germs. You just plug it in, add water to the base, load it up and turn it on for a 6-minute cycle. Contents remain sterile for up to 24 hours if the lid stays closed.

The 3-in-1 design means that you can fit a range of bottles, pump parts and accessories in the sterilizer, which holds up to six Avent Classic 11 oz. bottles at once. Most other bottles will fit too, with the exception of Dr. Bronner’s 8 oz. bottles.

The unit’s footprint is compact, so it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, but clean and dry the base after use to avoid rusting.

There’s also a microwave version that’s smaller than the electric one.

Stopped working after 3 months.

Love how much this fits. Can fit bottles of all sizes. It’s more than one needs for baby though. A simple microwave sterilizer would do. This takes up a nice chunk of space on counter. Works magnificent though. Easy to use and keep clean. Just add water to the fill line and turn on to sterilize. May descale with white vinegar and a bit of water, run for one cycle, and wipe with paper towel.

The section where you put the water became rusted. I only used bottled water in this unit. Then the brown rust went all over the casing of the sterilizer. I ended up just boiling the bottles and nipples.

We don't have a dishwasher, so this was the easiest way to sterilize baby's bottles and pump parts.

I like it because it's quick and easy to use; all bottles and other items can be sterilized in under 10 minutes. However, I realize that I could also just boil a large pot of water and sterilize all my bottles and other items that way, without having to purchase yet another appliance which takes up space. TIP: Use a bottle to measure the correct amount of water to put in the sterilizer (I believe its 100ml). Also, clean off any hard water residue on the heating element with vinegar.

Just don't use it enough... takes up a lot of space.

I love it because it is very easy to use and I feel at ease knowing my baby's supplies are very clean and safe with each use. TIP: Please be careful when opening the lid after the light turns off indicating that it's done because I have burned myself many times. I usually take the lid off now for a few minutes before touching anything inside. Also don't forget to clean the actual tank once every week as there will be some build up.

Can use two different size baskets, or both together. Great for bottles of all sizes and pump parts.
