I really wanted to love this car seat because I love all the other UppaBaby products I have, but I just don't.
My baby screams the entire time he is in it. He seems incredibly uncomfortable and is always so sweaty when we take him out, even while in minimal clothing on a short ride.
Extremely disappointed as it seems I will be buying a new car seat that is more comfortable.

Without its base, the Aria is just 6 lbs, making it a standout when it comes to easy-to-carry baby gear. The adjustable headrest offers a no re-thread, 5-point harness for a more accurate and customized fit as baby grows. Plus, the simple one-crotch buckle position makes buckling easier.
The included stay-in-car base weighs 12.6 lbs and installs in seconds with a SmartSecure system, auto-retracting LATCH design and red-to-green visual indicators. It also features an adjustable load leg and Anti-Rebound+ Panel for stability and energy absorption in the event of a crash (this helps limit forward rotation during a front collision).
For peace of mind, Aria is made with both fabric and foam that’s free from all fire-retardant chemicals, including the large UPF 25+ hideaway canopy. It’s also GREENGUARD Gold Certified to support healthier air quality and low chemical emissions.
To create a travel system, Aria directly attaches to both the Vista and Cruz strollers (sold separately). It’s also compatible with the Minu and Ridge with the addition of adapters.
For two-car families, you can add a second car seat base.

My Baby Hates This Seat

Stressful
My baby hates her car seat from uppababy. She screams getting in. She is so scrunched due to the deep seat. Makes me not want to take her anywhere because I feel bad putting her in it. It is very difficult getting her out of it too. It's so tight and she cries. I've removed the newborn seat insert. The back doesn't remove. Only adjusts up or down. She's around 14 pounds now and have had it since she was born. I'd rather hold her than push her in her car seat via stroller which is not sustainable.

Terrible. Baby is only 16 pounds and 25 inches and he hates this car seat. Like a lot of others have said here he is uncomfortable and in pain inside the car seat. Screaming and crying during our last ride I won’t put him in here again. Unfortunately we also purchased the uppababy Knox when we got this car seat which uppababy has voluntarily recalled. So I don’t have a car seat for him at all and have to go get a new one.

Do not recommend
The only thing I like about this car seat is that it's lightweight. The seat is way too deep and my baby never looks comfortable in it. Not to mention, he cries as soon as we put him in it. There's no way your baby will fit in this car seat until they're 30lbs/30inches. I love my other uppa baby products, but I would not recommend this car seat. It's way too expensive to not be able to use as long as advertised. We purchased 3 bases as well so even more disappointed we can't use.

Disappointed- would not buy
We really wanted to love this car seat but it after use it has not met our expectations. The main pros are that it is lightweight, aesthetically pleasing and easy to use with the travel system, however, these things don't matter because of the poor design that make our baby uncomfortable. The seat is way too deep. Baby's bottom sits so far down and the angle between the seat back and the seat bottom is very tight, which makes baby crunched up. 10/10 do NOT recommend.. yes the car seat in lightweight and that's the only pro about it.. my car seat is 110% in correctly and my daughters head keeps going forward any time I even slightly step on the gass.. my husband and I took the base out and reinstalled it at least five times and it never helps.. it is way to deep and gives NO support to the head.. do yourself a favor and save the money

Best car seat ever!!
I absolutely love how lightweight and easy to assemble this car seat is. Very happy about the fabric used on this car seat being fire retardant as well. Would recommend to all of my friends!

Love this car seat!!
I’ve been using the UPPAbaby Aria with baby and I can honestly say it’s a game changer. The seat is unbelievably lightweight which makes a huge difference when you’re carrying it with a baby inside

Light, secure, but a pain to wash
There are a lot of things I like about this car seat — it's comfortable to hold, easy to snap into the base, easy to use with with a seatbelt, and the fabric washes clean. BUT, it is sooo difficult to reinstall the car seat liner after a wash. I have tried, my parter has tried, we watched how-to videos. We have never figured it out. The back always looks like a mess and the shade pops up from the rear. Now that we need a bigger seat, I hesitate to buy from Uppababy.
