Gentle barriers
At bedtime, I sometimes just rest my hand on the acrylic spindle while humming to him. It feels personal, like a gentle barrier but not a wall.

It's modern but not cold
The clear spindles mean I can sit in the chair and see him no matter which way he rolls over. The Acorn finish adds such warmth to the room, it's modern but not cold.
