Overview

Description

The Cocoon Swaddle Bag is made with GOTS-certified organic cotton and a touch of elastane. It’s firm enough to restrict the startle reflex while still allowing movement and stretch, including moving their hands into a self-settling position. When baby shows signs of rolling, arm poppers transition the Cocoon from an arms-in swaddle to arms-out sleeping bag. The bell-shaped design is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as being hip-healthy, and promotes proper joint development.

The soft, breathable organic cotton is certified non-toxic, dyed with water-based dyes and gentle on skin prone to eczema. A two-way zipper allows for easy-access diaper changes without fully unswaddling baby.

It’s TOG rated for warmth, keeping baby snug and securely swaddled without the need for additional blankets. (TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade: the lower the TOG rating, the lighter the fabric and the higher the rating, the more padded and insulated.) The 2.5 TOG rating is ideal for room temperatures 63-73°F—you can layer up underneath as needed, and follow the included room thermometer/what to wear guide.

Works great. Love the option for arms free or keeping the arms in.

My baby loves the warm cocoon that the ergopouch provides. We keep the house cold and she sleeps snuggly and warm in this.

Great Quality and Customer Service
When we had an issue with incorrect sizing from manufacturing the customer service team was fast and efficient correcting the issue.

When we received the new swaddle in the correct size the quality is top shelf. My little guy sleeps so soundly in it. I love that it works for the swaddle ages and then can transition to arms out. I also love the TOG rating and the included card that shows room temp and how baby should be dressed. Having a winter baby in Alaska, I am always a little worried whether baby is warm enough and this gives me piece of mind so I don't hot box my little guy!

I bought this cocoon swaddle bag for my newborn baby grandson. He has been sleeping in it since coming out of the hospital. He seems to love it and has been sleeping so well that he needs woken every 3 hours through the night for his feeds. I would definitely recommend this swaddle bag as it’s very cosy and easy to use.

Horrible thick seam under back and rides up constantly
I debated buying this as it was so expensive but was drawn in by the bamboo material. I got one for my 6 month old and the fit is horrible. All the material rides up under her back and she is so uncomfy in it. The first seam under the chest, that goes across the body and under the back is very thick, so she’s basically sleeping on a lump, after two nights of rubbish sleep we stopped using it, don’t waste your money!

Delicious!
I gave this as a gift to a friend, she said it's delicious! She loves the feeling and softness of the fabric, at the same time as the firmness it provides for the baby's hold! She is a qualified midwife, and says, ''This has obviously been very cleverly designed for babies! It's better than a usual foldable swaddle material! The first night, my baby slept 8 hours!! (5 week old). In the morning she was unsettled, I put her in the cocoon and she fell right back asleep!

Great and comfy product but shrinks!
I have and have had purchased for us several sleeping bags.

The quality, comfort and features are great but the impact and shrinkage of machine washing these is beyond what I would expect. (Using a delicate wash cycle in a Bosch series 6).

Great sleep sack
Great quality for the sleep sack, the arm holes stay buttoned even when my 3mo wiggles around at night (obviously she still can’t roll over).

My only complaint is about the zipper. I wish the zipper was better quality and either: 1) stayed in place at the top more easily, or 2) fastened at the top and zipped closed with the tab at the bottom. When the zipper is closed at the top, pressure at a certain angle from the inside can make it start to unzip.
