Twist Pouches

In the Kiinde Twist system you pump directly into the freezer bag, and come feeding time you screw the bag onto a nipple and put it inside a bottle casing. This way you eliminate the need to wash and sterilize bottles; just recycle the bags. If you’re pumping at work, you can keep a large box of these at work and eliminate the need to bring bottles back and forth with you every day.

These are much thicker and sturdier than other milk storage bags, reducing the risk of leaks. One thing to keep in mind is you have to make sure the bag is fully unfolded on the bottom when you fill it with milk, otherwise the milk measurements on the side may be inaccurate. You sort of twist your thumbs in the bottom of the bag to massage it open. Some families swear by the Kiinde system, even though they have to buy storage pouches.
