What weabout it
A creative and simple swaddle gives your baby natural comfort.

Description

Swaddle UP has the distinction of being a zip-up swaddle that lets your baby sleep with their arms up. This natural position gives your baby access to her hands for self-soothing (babies often settle themselves by stroking their cheeks or putting their hands in their mouths), while the fabric “wings” protect her face from fingernail scratches. When your baby can self-soothe, you both get more sleep.

Swaddling helps your baby feel held and secure, and calms the natural startle reflex, especially in the first four months. This helps your baby stay asleep longer. Using a swaddle of any kind instead of covering your baby with a loose blanket is also safer, avoiding extra fabric in the crib or bassinet that can cover your baby’s face or impede breathing.

For those who just can’t seem to get the folds of a blanket swaddle just right, “instant” swaddles like this one can be a great option. The zipper is quick, easy, and quiet (many other swaddles use Velcro), and it will stay on all night. It’s a two-way zipper to boot—you can get to your baby’s legs without undoing the top, which makes diaper changes easier.

Parents also appreciate the super soft fabric: it’s breathable and not too thick, to reduce the risk of overheating. The swaddle fits snugly, so no extra wrapping is needed. But unlike a traditional swaddle, the Swaddle UP is roomier around the hips, leaving space for your baby’s legs to move freely and promoting long-term hip health.

If you love this swaddle, you might consider getting more than one. The wing fabric will get wet if your baby likes to suck her hand.

This would be a great choice for a baby who likes arms up, but DOESN'T suck their fingers or thumbs. It ended up a back up for us because baby loved to nom those tasty baby fingers.

It was the only way I could get my daughter to sleep when she was in the newborn stage.

Baby was super comfortable in it and it wasn't difficult to put her in it.

Our baby did not like this so didn't get use it much. She preferred a blanket swaddle.

My baby always wiggled herself out of her swaddles, even when we would double swaddle her! She loves to sleep with her arms up, so this swaddle allowed her to do that and still reap the benefits of being “swaddled”. She was able to sleep for longer periods of time, as she was able to self soothe since she still had access to her hands. Overall, loved it! Make sure to get more than one because baby will be trying to suck on their hands through the cloth to soothe themselves and you don’t want to be washing it every night!

It’s so easy to put on! It has a zip that comes up from the bottom so middle-of-the night diaper changes are easy. My son loves it!

Baby loved having her arms up in this swaddle. It was easy to put on and convenient for night time diaper changes. Definitely ordering the next sizes up. It is a great alternative to blanket swaddles.

Baby never liked it. We have a longer than average baby so I think that was why. Sizing is based on weight not length which didn’t work for our child.

This was by far the best swaddle since my baby likes to sleep with her hands near her face. It gives the swaddle effect without restricting her comfort.
