The Medela Pump in Style Advanced Double Electric Breast Pump with On-the-Go Tote is designed for moms who pump frequently and offers portability for discreet pumping anywhere. It also simulates natural nursing patterns to help provide maximum milk flow.

Long a staple of moms on the go, this pump is effective at getting the most milk in the least amount of time. Like the backpack style, the On-the-Go Tote also includes lifesavers like nipple cream for irritation, microwave bags for quick sterilization of pump parts, and nursing pads to hide embarrassing leaks.

Everything you need fits in a sleek carrier that has a fold-down surface - a special feature of the On-the-Go Tote. That comes in super handy if you’re stuck in a bathroom or another place where you can’t bear to set your baby’s feeding supplies down.

Also, the On-the-Go Tote comes with a power cord as well as a battery pack (not included in the backpack model). That means you can still pump even if there isn’t an electrical outlet in sight.

Actually ended up getting the back pack version through my insurance. Solid pump.

Easy to take traveling and sometimes I use it for a diaper bag.

May want to consider the backpack. It is heavy to carry around.

If you're able to get a hospital grade pump - do it! The Pump in Style is probably the best non-hospital grade pump, but the difference is substantial. Compared to a hospital pump, the Pump in Style is not nearly as comfortable in feel (the sucking can be rather uncomfortable!) and I don't think it produced as much milk. The pros, though, are that you can get it with a handy carrying bag + bottle cooler which is really nice! I'd recommend getting a pumping-specific wet/dry bag too (Sarah Wells brand are nice). If when you start pumping your nipples are REALLY sore, try going up a size in the breast shield. Also, be sure to only buy Medela brand accessories, as knock offs are not regulated.

This pump works. If you're a working mom there's nothing else to consider.

I LOVE this pump with a tote. I have used it at work for the past 6 months(since I have been back) and often use it at home. It is super easy to use, inconspicuous, and does really well with adaptors to travel. I NEVER use the little pouch to keep cold, but we have a fridge at my office.

Very easy to use, used every two hours starting from the first week I brought my baby home and it never stopped working or didn't work well. Only thing is the black of the tote shows EVERYTHING, so spilled milk, it shows. TIP: Just make sure you let the hose's air out before putting it away, or it will mold. Make sure to clean with the tiny brush inside the pump parts- they get gross. Just soap and water and soaking. Not even! 😷

When you're on the go, this is a relatively compact and easy to use set. Depending on your situation a car power cord and the ice packs may or may not be necessary. It does the job. Pumping isn't anyone's favorite activity but this is way easier than using the manual version. Frankly I happily got a used one and haven't had an issue.
