Overview

Description

Motorola PIP is an HD camera with a color display that lets you keep an eye on baby at home or away. The camera is controlled remotely from either the parent unit or your smartphone through the Motorola Nursery app. You can pan, tilt and zoom for the best view of baby, as well as listen in and talk to your little one using the two-way talk feature. Choose the option with one camera or two cameras—two allows you to see two babies (or two rooms) at the same time on a split screen.

PIP can be wall or table mounted, letting you move it when and where you need to. A built-in sensor shows you the room temperature, plus you can play pre-loaded lullabies, soothing sounds and stories.

The 5.0” portable parent monitor also has two noise level indicator bars.

Your product WILL die right after the warranty ends.
Well, after almost 2 years to the day our monitor and camera just suddenly stopped working. We'd just ordered a second Motorola camera to add to this unit but I feel like both belong in the trash. We loved this camera while it worked and I know this sounds petty but come on.. make it less obvious that you program your products to die right after the warranty ends. We've reached out several times now to support with zero response.

Would not recommend
Terrible monitor. Temperature gage is off, it frequently has connection problems and the monitor screen stopped working after less than a year. Reached out to manufacturer for help and they never responded.

Good monitor
The app is simple and easy to use. We love that we can use the app anywhere but have a parent unit as well. The parent unit does not hold charge very long. The app falsely notifies for movement several times throughout the day (the room will be empty and the camera doesn’t show anything but we still get a movement detected notification). Overall it’s a good monitor.

How does this have such high ratings??
This thing is the bane of my existence. It randomly shuts off for no reason, it says that motion is captured when literally NOTHING is happening. It’s so aggravating. Don’t buy it.

Awful
This monitor is awful, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The app is super unreliable when loading the live stream camera footage. The monitor is clunky and the video quality on it is lacking. The monitor screen is also hard to see if there is any glare, like if you’re sitting near a window or out on your patio. The monitor is very bright even when you turn down the brightness all the way, I have to sleep with the screen face down on the night stand because it is so bright.

Not great
It’s not great. The monitor frequently loses connection or fails to connect with the camera and the image quality isn’t great, especially the night vision.

Do not buy
This monitor rarely works correctly. It often loses connection and I spend the majority of my time trying to reconnect. The app is outdated and also rarely works. Very disappointed in this monitor for the price it costs. Wish I had just gotten a different one and will probably have to purchase another monitor.

DO NOT GET THIS
Only works 1/2 the time. Sometimes the monitor just BEEPS waking the baby at times if it’s now battery or the monitor disconnects from the camera. It is ALWAYS notifying about motion when no one is in the house, not even windows open so a shadow or loud noise could be at fault (you can play back the motion, I’ve looked). SO GLITCHY. Sometimes the app will work and not the monitor, but that’s also not always guarantee.

Camera unit disconnects often
I rarely go online to write bad reviews, but we have had a tough time with this monitor! When it works it's great, but the camera unit cuts out or goes offline about one in three times that we use it (the parent unit then beeps and just displays an image of the camera unit with an X through it).
In these (often) times when the camera unit goes offline, it doesn't maintain audio and the temperature measurement is all over the place. When the camera unit does work, the parent
monitor is
