Do these cameras work through WiFi or data on your phone as well as on the monitor?
Best Answer: The cameras connect to Wi-Fi, which allows you to access the video feed remotely via the VTech app on your smartphone using data or Wi-Fi. This means you can monitor your baby on your phone when you are away from home.
Does the parent unit show split screen for the two camera’s? Or will it only display 1 camera at a time?
Best Answer: It does! The parent unit has a split screen mode to allow you to view both cameras simultaneously. Both baby units will be muted when on split screen though.
How long does the battery last on the monitor?
Best Answer: When fully charged, the parent unit typically runs for about 8 hours, but keep in mind that the actual runtime may vary based on your settings.
Does this work without wifi?
Best Answer: Yes, the cameras will work with the parent unit without being connected to wifi. You must connect them to wifi if you would like to watch the video streams through the app.

Yes, the camera will work without wifi - only when connected to the parent unit. This is taken directly from the manual for the camera: "You can continue using your video monitor with Local mode connection, or you can set up your monitor in Remote mode connection. Remote mode uses your home Wi-Fi network to connect your video monitor. It supports streaming live video through viewer and smartphone app.".

Do not buy
Worst monitor and customer service ever. Monitor connection both WiFi and monitor router keep going in and out, battery life is awful, and flimsy stand. Reached out to vtech and they were no help and now ignoring our emails and refuse to stand by their product. Save yourself the money and buy a different brand.

Don't Buy!
Terrible camera! It constantly disconnects. The phone app just says the cameras are offline. When using the monitor, if the cameras are in different rooms, it only picks up the sound of one camera. We had to buy a different monitor. Wish I could get my money back!

Terrible connection issues
Parent unit struggles to connect with camera even well within the 1000 foot range, sometimes even just directly below my son’s room we couldn’t get a connection directly or via WiFi. Then one day about 8-9 months after we started using the monitor, the parent unit couldn’t locate the camera. We reset everything and tried to re-pair but no matter what we do the parent unit cannot find the camera so it is useless now and customer service is a joke.

Loved it, but it let me down
I’ve had this monitor for a year and I loved it at first. The screen is nice and big and great video quality, but there have been a few flaws. The monitor screen unit no longer holds a charge. It must be plugged in at all times in order to use it. The QR code method they use for pairing does not work well. The cameras never capture the code. It is also the only way to connect to the mobile app. If the QR code is not scanning correctly, you cannot get access in the mobile app. This has been an…

Good Monitor for a price
I was a little sceptical buying a camera with monitor and wifi, I thought it’s usually either or,but this camera is pretty nice for a price and good picture quality & rotation view.I usually use it for day time to watch my baby while I am in another room,so for day camera is recommended, and I use ir without cry detection.I used cry detection feature a few times and it beeps about 3 seconds(I could probably see different setting), but we have second camera different brand that is used on baby’s…

A great monitor!!!
I had a hard time finding a monitor that gave the option of a parent unit AND mobile access. Thats what led me to this baby monitor. The camera works well and has night vision so you’ve got a clear picture in the dark. It tracks temperature as well which I really like. You can talk through the camera and play music too. There’s a ton of settings on the parent unit to customize it to your liking. The connection can be spotty if you’re very far away or have unreliable WiFi, but 99% of the time…
