What weabout it
This natural teether from France is one of the most popular baby toys

Popular Sophie the Giraffe is possibly the queen of all teethers. Although she originated in France 60 years ago, her popularity is now booming.

Parents love that this reassuring animal friend is made of 100% natural rubber, so you can give it to your baby without worrying about what’s in it. Soft Sophie squeaks when you squeeze her, and her neck and legs are slender enough for babies to grab and hold. Contrasting spots and a smiling face provide visual stimulation. Babies can mouth any part of this toy, though the ears, horns, and feet are made with thicker rubber for extra gnaw-ability. Hand-painted with food paint, each giraffe is unique. The down side of the safe paint is that it may fade over time.

While some may find the price too high, the general consensus among parents and babies everywhere is to a resounding “oui” to Sophie!

In fact, this toy is such a parent favorite, it was voted a spot on our Best Baby Toys guide!

My son didn’t like it. Infantino elephant is better, it has round ears which are easier to chew. Not sure why this giraffe is so popular, my son couldn’t find a good spot to chew on.

Great for infants and my 8mo old is still chewing on it. Easy to hold onto, and lots of places to chew on!

My baby likes Sophie but doesn’t love her. She’s a tether but my baby finds it hard to get her mouth around anything other than her hoofs. Also, my dog hears the squeak and thinks it’s a dog toy.

My baby loved it for soothing her gums. She gnawed on the ears of the giraffe. She also loved squeezing it to make sounds.

My daughter loves it.

I don't know the reason but my baby always picks it from the rest of the teethers presented in front of her. Baby would bite each teether then throw them except when she gets a hold of Sophie, she'll keep that one. I observed that it's easier for the baby to hold. She does not drop them a lot like the circle teethers or the binky-type ones. Baby always jas a good grip of the legs or neck of the giraffe. I love the teether as a teether but only recommend it to be used for a short time due to hygienic reasons. No matter how you cover up the hole when washing it (which we did), the baby's saliva will always go in so that becomes a breeding area of bacteria. We would even shake off as much liquid that would come out. After 3 mos, we cut it open and some areas were already black so I would not recommend long term use.
