9 Questions
Can you move the foot rest up to a higher position? To have their feet reach it at any age?

Best Answer:  The footrest is adjustable. It has two positions, so it will adjust with your growing child but may not come high enough to support a young baby's feet.

What are the dimensions of the tray?

Best Answer:  The dimensions for the tray are 19.8” W x 10.25” L. The usable, flat surface area dimensions are 17.4” W x 7.9” L.

Can you wash the harness in laundry washer?

Best Answer:  No, the harness straps are not machine washable. You can wipe it clean with a damp sponge or cloth.

Can the harness straps be removed from the chair before cleaning? If I want to take the harness to the sink for a deeper cleaning, for example.

Yes, the harness straps can be removed.

Is the footrest adjustable?

Best Answer:  Yes, the footrest has two different levels it can be adjusted to.

How tall is the actual baby seat? (I assume the 36" height given is from the top of the back of the chair to the floor.)

Best Answer:  The distance from the floor to the bottom of the tray is 28.28”.

Can you remove the tray with one hand?

Best Answer:  Yes, the tray can be removed with one hand.

I see the tray is noted as adjustable. Does it adjust closer to the seat for smaller babies?

Best Answer:  Yes, the tray can adjust. However, the positions are all further out from the baby than is pictured. The tray does not adjust in closer to the baby.

Do you have to remove the tray to take out your baby?

Best Answer:  You do not have to take the tray off when putting baby in or taking them out, although it is usually a bit easier to do with the tray off.

Hi! Can a cushion be added to this?

Best Answer:  Skip Hop does not make a cushion to be added to this chair. Skip Hop has specifically designed this chair without a cushion to make it easy to cleanup.

Always slouches
My kiddo is 9 months and still is unable to sit upright in this chair. He can sit unsupported everywhere else. But he always slouches in this high chair. We will be getting a different one at this point. Not worth it.

I love this chair! After reading some negative reviews I must say that I didn’t start feeding my baby until she was able to sit up on her own without slouching. The chair is very practical easy to clean which was my biggest concern. I am not having to wash a cushion on a regular basis. My only comment is that the legs are very wide and I tend to trip over them if I’m not looking. We have a designated corner to put chair out of the way when not in use.

Easy to clean, but watch the toes!
I love how easy it is to clean. I honestly don't understand why companies make high chairs with padding because you'd have to wash it after every meal! This is a quick wipe down and done. The BIG downside is that, since my baby loves to sit with her feet resting on the underside of the tray, the clips have pinched her toes and caused huge blood blisters when removing the tray. We've worked around it by making sure her feet are down when we take the tray off, but it's still a big safety issue!

Really wanted to like this highchair, so when the pieces did not lineup to snap in I had three other people try putting this together and the pieces were off each time. I had to return it

Plastic tray cover does not snap onto grey tray cover.
The plastic tray cover arrived warped and we were not able to ever use it. This didn't have much of an impact at first, but now that my baby is eating more solids, it deters us from ever using this high chair. We use others with easier clean up options!

Not Safe Position for Babies
Our 7-month-old has been sitting well solo for over a month. However, this chair reclines, causing her hips to be in a posterior pelvic tilt (causes slouch and rounding at the shoulders). It is also so deep that her knees cannot bend, and this causes her hips to slide forward and her to slouch even more. Despite the 5-point harness, the straps always slip, and she is always leaning to the side. I have used rolled towels in various positions, a yoga block to make up for the low foot plate, and

Not worth the hassle
I received this as a baby shower gift and once I assembled the leg pieces didn’t not go in properly and therefore wouldn’t allow me to connect the middle bracket proper neither the foot rest. Customer service was responsive gave me credit to purchase a new one. The second high chair was delivered in hideous condition. Scuff marks on the feet of the legs as if it was a used and returned item that was sent to me. The leg pieces were unstable and wobbly that cause a great concern for safety and the

If you're looking at this thinking - what's the big deal? How bad can a high chair really be? The answer is that it can be pretty terrible! The bucket seat on this is way too deep and reclined and our six month old, who can sit up really well on his own, was constantly flopping to the side. The straps don't stay on correctly and it just seemed like he couldn't get comfortable. The footrest is also way too low. And finally, you can remove the tray, but there are little nubbins where it clicks in

For older kids not babies
This is sleek but just doesn’t work for babies so it’s a huge waste of time and money. The bucket seat is huge and the footrest is a mile away. This is meant for older kids, not infants/babies doing first foods. An unfortunate waste of money. I wish I’d looked at Solid Starts sooner!

Honestly I was shocked to see the negative reviews lately because I LOVE this high chair and so does my baby!! Super cute and easy to clean. The legs can be annoying, but I have the space, so they’re not in the way. I did have to wait to use it until my baby was able to sit up with minimal support, but he didn’t really need the high chair before that point anyways!
