What weabout it
This diaper pail uses industrial design to keep smells concealed and accommodates any liner—no need for custom bags.

This pail fights stench with industrial design. It’s made of steel, which is powder coated and comes in a range of colors. The lid has a child-proof lock and is lined with rubber seals that keep smells contained. The lid’s sliding mechanism prevents those wafts of odors that happen with a full de-lidding. You can use any kind of trash liner with this diaper pail, no need to buy expensive custom liners. Granted, the Ubbi is slightly pricier. But using generic liners can help cut costs in the long run.

  • Dimensions: 25” x 15” x 10.75”
  • Powder coated steel with rubber seals
  • Childproof safety lock

I like that it is made of steel and can trap orders. What I don’t like is, 1) the size. I am a tall mom and have to bend or scooch down to put a diaper in while holding my son. I ended up placing it on top of a chair next to our changing station. If it was maybe a foot taller it would be ideal. 2) Changing the trash bag is a nightmare. When the diapers reach the “top” indicating the bag is full you have only used half of a trash bag. We use force flex trash bags and I feel like they may tip whenever I try and remove the bag. Because wet diapers expand the bag fits in the can sooo tightly. I have to tie the bag and then tip it upside down to remove it. Sometimes it takes both myself and my husband to get it out.

It is amazing at keeping the smell contained inside the unit, I have never smelled the diapers! It’s the best of the best, worth every penny.

Easy to change the regular sized trash bags, and it contains odor very well!

The Ubbi, in my opinion, has an unfortunate design flaw. When you open the top to change the bag, a part of the circle attachment that’s inside ‘sticks out’ and makes it really challenging to change the bag. To avoid that the bag has to be changed 1/2 to 3/4 full. I’m a new mom of twins, I do not need to be worrying if the bag will rip when changing it or remembering to empty before capacity. I really wanted to like this pail as I do really like that made of it’s steel but for me, that’s a deal breaker.

Love this diaper pail! Regular trash bags work in it and it contains the smell. Plastic pails tend to soak up the odor over time, so I knew I wanted a metal one. Even though it’s a little pricey, it’s definitely worth it to keep your house from smelling like poop!

Easy to use - no need for special bags. It’s a little hard to open.

Ok, I wanted to like it. It didn’t smell for a good 3 months of my baby’s life. NOW it’s starting to smell and I’m about to toss it. She’s 3 1/2 months. I don’t go longer than 2 days until I throw out the bags. It’s only getting worse by the day.

Love that you can use regular trash bags so it holds a ton more diapers. But beware the more it handles the heavier the trash bag
