Description
This is an extra car seat base for the Doona Infant Car Seat & Stroller. Of course the car seat comes with a base as well, but an extra base can be so helpful if you are a two-car family or if your baby will be riding with grandparents or caretakers often. It lets you move your car seat carrier back and forth without having to use the seat-belt-installation method (AKA a pain in the butt) and saves you from shelling out for an entire second car seat. Some families opt to just get two car seats because remembering which car has the carrier can be a hassle.
The base installs with LATCH connectors and integral belt locking clips. Its height is adjustable, and level indicators help you get just the right seat angle. The Doona Installation Indicator confirms when the seat is safely locked in position.

Do I have to buy the base or can I use the Doona carseat/stroller without it?
Best Answer: When you purchase the Doona, it comes with one base. You can use the Doona without the base, if needed. If you will be using the car seat in two separate cars frequently, Doona recommends you get a second base to make installation easy.

Latch base
Car seat was ok but the latch base stopped working 5 months in and for the price i paid i figured it would last longer

Good while it works
Very useful product. Used with first child and went to use with second...unfortunately had a very poor customer experience when the latch base white little plastic piece broke (see picture). Apparently, the product is no longer safe per the customer service rep as you can't properly level the base. Product is out of warranty; we have a new baby in tow and there is nothing the company is willing to do to help. I don't understand why such an important piece is made so flimsy. Found this disappointing and wouldn't recommend the product to someone else as a result.

as expected. easy to use and quick. Does take up more room than expected and need to be careful of straps or wont lock in. but overall…money

Great but come onnnn
At this price point, it should have a seat cover too. Works great. I love the Doona system, but save us some $$$ and make parenting really simple by including a seat cover
