Description
This mattress features a patented Wovenaire core that’s made of 90% free air (yes, air) and 10% food-grade polymer—so basically your baby could breathe right through it.
It’s all wrapped up in a breathable and plush dual-layer quilted cloud cover that provides comfort and unzips for easy washing.
They use absolutely no polyurethane foam, adhesives, metal springs or glue so it’s non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and GREENGUARD Gold certified. A third-party CPSC accredited laboratory showed that a baby gets 97% more air while breathing through a Newton Crib Mattress than on a conventional waterproof crib mattress.
The washable material prevents bacteria growth—and can even pop right in the shower (or rinse off with a hose) for a good washing.
The 2-stage design allows for longevity through the toddler years.

Which do you recommend the 4” thick mattress or 5.5” mattress?
Best Answer: If safety and fit are your top priorities, go with the mattress that fits snugly in your crib with no gaps. A 5.5" mattress can offer more comfort and support, especially for toddlers, while a 4" mattress may be lighter and easier to move. Just be sure the mattress doesn’t exceed crib depth limits and allows for safe rail height.
Is this product waterproof, or do we need to buy a waterproof pad?
Best Answer: The Newton Baby Breathable 2- Stage Crib Mattress is not waterproof. You can purchase a waterproof crib sheet or pad, or consider purchasing the Newton Baby Waterproof Breathable Crib Mattress.

Light and breathable
Love this mattress - I even got 2 to have at the grandparents house! Wouldn’t have chosen any other mattress other than the Newton. It gives me a peace of mind knowing it’s light and breathable considering my 3 month old is sleeping on his side and has rolled onto his tummy multiple times.

Scam promotion
Scammed into a time sensitive discount. Went to purchase the mattress and it said I could get $20 off the mattress protector. Once I checked out it charged me the full price for the mattress protector. Super disappointed in the misleading click bait

Can't Wait For The Baby to Arrive!!
I purchased this mattress from someone's baby registry as a gift. This couple had done a great deal of research prior to deciding upon the best mattress to purchase. I am sure this baby will enjoy the most pleasurable sleep on this mattress and the parents will feel their baby is safe!!
Unfortunately this is still in the box at my home as the baby is not due to arrive until approximately 09/20/25. I am sure the baby will spend many months in the bassinette which was purchase from Newton as well prior to transitioning to the crib.

Love our Newton mattress! Feels firm and durable. Our original mattress fits in a standard crib, we also use a silk crib sheet to protect our baby’s hair. Recently our 7m old had an upset stomach & threw up in the crib, cleaning up the mesh cover was easy. . 10/10 would recommend!
