Inglesina Quid Lightweight Stroller Review

Whether it’s because you travel a lot, live in a city or simply prefer less bulk for everyday activity, you may end up deciding that a lightweight stroller is a better fit for your family than something more full size. Once you figure that out, what should you prioritize next? The lightest model? Most features? Smoothest ride? With the Italian-made Inglesina Quid, you get a really solid combination of all three at a price point that falls between budget and luxury. Babylist Scout Gina has been test-driving the Quid with her son, and has the full lowdown in our video review above.

Highlights of the Inglesina Quid Stroller

At 13 lbs, the Inglesina Quid is one of the lightest strollers around. But for being so compact, it packs a lot of style and functionality. Here are a few of the perks that make it stand out against other lightweight strollers (all of which you can see IRL in the video):

One-Handed Unfold: One of the most unique things about the Inglesina Quid is that you can unfold it with just one hand. So if you’re holding your baby, you don’t need to find a place to put your little one to get your stroller ready. (It’s worth noting, though, that you do need two hands to fold the stroller back up.)

Smooth Ride: If you’ve ever pushed an umbrella stroller, you know they don’t always offer the smoothest ride. But Inglesina managed to sneak some impressive suspension into the front wheels, so you (and your baby) will be less likely to notice bumps as you walk.

Ultra Portability: When the Quid is folded, it fits into an airline overhead compartment. And the carrying handle (plus an optional carrying bag) makes it easier to get around in your everyday travels. There’s also a kickstand that enables the stroller to stand on its own, which can be really handy if you have limited storage or are simply out and about and need to put the stroller aside somewhere.

Quid Stroller Bonus Features

Even though the Quid is one of the lightest strollers you’ll find, Inglesina didn’t scrimp on creature comforts like an adjustable footrest, reclining seat, storage basket and even an airflow panel for hot days. So there are plenty of ways to keep your baby comfortable as they ride.

Since the Quid doesn’t offer enough of a recline to support newborn strolling, you’ll have to wait until your baby is three months old to use this stroller. But after that, it’ll be a while before your baby outgrows it, thanks to the extra-tall seat and 50 lbs weight limit (for comparison, the average weight of a four-year-old is 40 lbs).

The Inglesina Quid is a solid mix of lightweight portability with comfort and convenience. Add in a sleek Italian design (including a cool collaboration with Vespa), and you have a stroller you won’t mind pushing around every day. Check out Gina’s full view review to see it in action.
