Description
Combining a night light, sound machine and time-to-rise in one, Rest+ 2nd Gen is fully customizable and ideal for babies, toddlers, and big kids alike. You can adjust settings and set schedules remotely through the app, or control the volume and nightlight with easy-access buttons on the device.
Rest 2nd Gen combines all of the electronics you might have on a nightstand into one easy-to-use device. It provides a soft light and white noise for overnight newborn feeding sessions, calming stories for preschoolers and a Time-to-Rise function for older kiddos. It also helps build healthy sleep habits by creating consistent bedtime routines.
Rest+ 2nd Gen has an up to 12-hour back-up battery that keeps little one’s sleep routine on track, even if the power goes out. Or quickly grab it off its charging base and bring the bedtime routine to any room. (The back-up battery and charging base are the key differences between the Rest and Rest+).

Can i play my own sounds through the device?
Best Answer: You can't play your own personal music or custom audio files through the Hatch Rest+ 2nd Gen.

Best Answer: Yes, it has a brown noise option.
What different color options does it offer? ?
Best Answer: You can customize with the available nine colors or choose your own on the color gradient scale.
Do you need a hatch membership?
Best Answer: You don't need a Hatch membership to use the basic features, but you can subscribe to use their premium options like more sounds, lullabies and stories.
Can you only use the time to rise function? does the night light need to be on for it to work?
Best Answer: The device has multiple features, including a Time-to-Rise function, and can set various schedules with different sound/light options. It has a backup battery and can work without being plugged in once charged, but it must be powered on. The night light doesn't need to be on for the Time-to-Rise function to work.
Can you turn the nightlight completely off while using the sound?
Best Answer: Definitely! You can turn off the light within the Rest app or through the buttons on the Rest+.
If the Wi-Fi goes out with the power, does it still work? Does it just need Wi-Fi to program and then if can continue on its own?
Best Answer: For full functionality, Hatch Rest+ 2nd Gen works best when connected to WiFi. Without WiFi, you won’t be able to make changes via the app or use the audio monitor.
Does this need to be plugged in?
Best Answer: It doesn't. The Rest+ will run for several hours unplugged (at full charge) depending on brightness and volume settings and whether or not you're using the monitor. It will also operate on backup battery if your power goes out.
Does it tell room temperature?
Best Answer: This does not tell the room temperature.
Can you buy a second charging base so you can charge it in whatever room you're in?
Best Answer: Totally! You can purchase an additional charging base directly from Hatch.

Great customer service
My hatch stopped working, and with a 7 month old being sleep trained, it was not ideal. However, you guys noticed a bug immediately, sent a new one the next day and I received it within two days. This is a big deal because my child loves the cozy classical and pj jazz stations at bedtime. Crisis averted. Thank you.

Great but Quieter
I really love this product. The setup is very simple and fast and I can control all of the things I need to control from my phone. I don’t really make use of the nightlight too much because it is still too bright. I wish it would have different levels of brightness and color. When I have a newborn I would prefer for it to be red instead of any other color because that would not diehard our circadian rhythms. The only other big complaint I have is that the first Gen Rest was a LOT louder than…

The best
Couldn’t live without it. Taking advantage of the timer for our toddler, red light means bedtime and green light means okay to wake. He actually waits for the green if he wakes up early in the morning.

Excellent Experience with Hatch Support Team and Replacement

Stop working suddenly
It worked perfectly for 9 months. Unfortunately, an error appeared, and it won't work anymore. However, I received a new one in compensation. I hope it won't happen the same for the new one.

Love the hatch
Started using with our now three year old who we recently started using the timer/color so he would better understand he could not leave his bed to climb in with either twin sibling before it turned “green” at 7am. Grows great with the kids!

LOVE IT!
We have had our hatch for all 3 of our boys (almost 4 to 6 months) and they love it! It tells our oldest when he can get up from nap and morning and they know when its bedtime as it turns on at the preset time. It stopped working a few weeks ago for no apparent reason after using it for 2 years and then they sent us a new one without us even telling them that something malfunctioned. Very impressed!
