Why I Love It: The Travel System That Keeps Up With My Active Life

We're talking to real parents about the baby gear they just can’t live without, from $20 snot suckers to $300 breathable crib mattresses and everything in between.

Why did she get it?

As a run club organizer and creator known for staying active and getting outside, Renee Noe assumed motherhood might slow her down. Instead, it reshaped how she moved—bringing her baby girl, Navy, along for the ride.

“I realized that motherhood is a new part of who I am,” Noe said. “I can be a mom and still be active every day with Navy.”

Daily walks, beach meetups with friends and quick errands are part of her routine, so she needed a car seat that clicks into her stroller that could support movement from day one without being bulky or complicated. The Baby Jogger city mini GT3 Travel System stood out for its versatility, ease of use and ability to grow with her and Navy.

“Having a car seat that clips into a stroller is magical,” Noe said. “Being able to transfer your sleeping baby straight from the car to the stroller is a game changer, especially for those first outings like the grocery store, the mall or a stroll around your neighborhood.”

Renee’s must-haves

Ready to hit the road with the city mini GT3 Travel System—complete with the city GO 2 car seat—Noe found freedom in motherhood. But there was more than convenience that made it her top pick. Here’s what else she loved about about it:

  • All-terrain versatility: “I love a stroller that can get in the sand since we live by the beach, but that’s also not too heavy duty or hard to carry,” Noe said. “The city mini GT3 is perfect for the beach as it’s light and has some space underneath for beach items and we can park it right up in the sand which is perfect.”

  • One-hand fold: “It’s easy to get in and out of my car, literally uses one hand to fold and it’s so light,” she said. “When I’m grabbing Navy out of her car seat I can hold her while folding or unfolding the stroller which is nice and practical and makes the whole process way less stressful.”

  • Comfy infant car seat: “I felt like this city GO 2 had way more space and was made of a more comfortable material than the one I had in my other car,” Noe said. “And this car seat will last us—it has inserts for when she’s little but will also last for when she’s up to 30 pounds, which is amazing.”

  • Canopy coverage: “I’m obsessed with the canopy on both the stroller and the car seat,” Noe said. “No other stroller or car seat [I tried] had that much coverage—and my baby hates the sun in her eyes.”

Who would she recommend it to?

For Renee, the city mini GT3 Travel System has helped her feel confident and independent as a new mom, without needing a million pieces of gear to leave the house.

“It’s easy, it’s light and it just makes common sense,” she said.

Another thing that just makes sense for her is how long it lasts—the seat holds up to 65 lbs which means she won't need to get a new stroller as Navy grows bigger. She recommends it to parents who want a stroller that keeps up with their lifestyle, whether that means easy daily walks, outdoorsy adventuring or tackling your to-do list with a newborn in tow.
