If you’re here because you’ve experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or any kind of pregnancy loss, we are so sorry for your loss. And we know that not only is this an incredibly difficult time, there may also be practical things you need to take care of now. This page is here to help you navigate those, and also provide you with a few resources, if you want them.
How to Pause or Deactivate Your Registry
If you have a Babylist registry, you have options for how to proceed, depending on what you want to do.
Pausing your registry (the simplest way to stop everything) makes it private and unsubscribes you from all Babylist emails and notifications—including pregnancy week-by-week updates, due date reminders, and any marketing emails. Your registry will be saved exactly as you left it; nothing is deleted. (One note: Anyone who already has your registry link can still view it while it's paused.)
To pause your registry:
When you're logged in to your Babylist account, go to your Registry Settings
Select Pause Registry.
Confirm that you’d like to pause it.
Deactivating your registry will permanently deactivate the specific registry from your account.
To delete a registry (but keep your Babylist account): 1. When you're logged in to your Babylist account, go to manage lists (where you will see all registries or wishlists you have created) and click ‘Delete’.
2. Confirm the delete. Keep in mind that keeping your account active means you may still receive some Babylist emails; to stop those, go to Settings › Communication Preferences and uncheck what you no longer want.
You can also deactivate your entire account if that’s what you’d prefer by visiting Settings, and selecting Account Info and scrolling down to Delete.
How to Manage Gifts and Returns
If you've received gifts and would like to return them, you can do so, on your own time, and you don't need to explain why.
Gifts from the Babylist Shop: Go to your Gift Tracker, find the item, and select Return. You'll get a prepaid label or QR code to ship it back — no need to contact anyone.
Gifts from another store: Those returns are handled by the store where the gift was purchased.
If anything's unclear or you'd rather have a hand, our customer service team is here for you at babylist.com/contact, and we'll make it as simple as we can.
Other Questions About Your Account

Loss Support and Resources
The following organizations offer grief support, community, and resources specifically for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. They are not affiliated with Babylist—we’re sharing them because they do this work well.
Postpartum Support International: PSI offers more than 50 free, weekly virtual support groups specifically for pregnancy and infant loss—including separate groups for early loss (20 weeks or before), stillbirth and infant loss, and Spanish-speaking families.
MISS Foundation: MISS offers free one-on-one peer mentoring through their HOPE Mentor program (matched with someone who’s been through a similar loss), 24/7 moderated online forums, monthly support groups, and access to a network of grief counselors trained specifically in traumatic loss. They also offer grief retreats.
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep: If you experienced a stillbirth or infant loss at 22 weeks or later, NILMDTS will send a volunteer professional photographer to your hospital or hospice—at no cost—to create a private portrait session with your baby. The images are gently retouched and given to you to keep.
Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support: Share offers a monthly drop-in Zoom support group (on the third Monday of each month, no registration required) and a weekly text-based chat every Tuesday. They also offer private online groups and phone support, and links to other associated resources you may need at this time.
The Compassionate Friends: The Compassionate Friends has over 500 local chapters in all 50 states and offers in-person peer support groups for families after the death of a child at any age. There is no religious affiliation, and no cost. Many chapters also offer virtual options.

If You Want to Come Back
If you decide to return—whether for a future pregnancy or just to pick up where you left off—sign in and select Resume Registry if you paused it. If you deactivated or deleted the registry, simply create a brand-new registry. And if you deactivated your account, you can create a new account as well.
