- Easier, foolproof way to swaddle
- 3-way adjustable swaddle
- Inverted zipper opens and closes from bottom
The HALO SleepSack Swaddle has all the benefits of a traditional swaddle, but in a much simpler and foolproof design. The Velcro wings make it easy to wrap the swaddle around your baby and keep his or her arms safely immobilized, preventing the startle reflex that can disturb rest. As a bonus, the 2-in-1 adjustable design of the SleepSack Swaddle actually lets you to keep your baby’s arms inside or outside of the swaddle. This maximizes your child’s comfort and eventually helps him or her transition smoothly out of full swaddling.
The HALO swaddle is embroidered with “back is best” on the front, reminding caregivers to always place your baby to sleep on her back. It’s meant to be used over PJs in the place of a loose blanket.
The zipper opens and closes from the bottom, making diaper changes easier. And the roomy sack at the bottom allows your baby to move her legs freely, promoting long-term hip health (though some babies sleep better when both legs and arms are wrapped snugly).
Parents report that the HALO SleepSack Swaddle holds up well to washing, but do remember to attach the Velcro to itself so it doesn’t stick to itself or other items in the wash. Stop swaddling when your baby shows signs of rolling over or breaking out of the wrap.
To use the HALO SleepSack Swaddle, first zip your child into the main pouch. Then wrap the Velcro wings around each other, keeping your child’s arms under each wing as you go. See HALO’s video below for more details.

Personally, I hated the Halo brand sleep sacks because of the zippers. You have to connect the two zippers and zip them and that may seem like a small thing, but when you have two flailing arms and a rolling body it makes it that much more difficult. I'd suggest a sleep sack with a two-way zipper that zips from the bottom.
I like the cotton for summer but it stretches a lot. Baby is able to come unswaddled if he fights hard enough. We love the Halo Sleepsack swaddle and used it from night one. I recommend the fleece version even if it's summer time.
The Velcro mechanism means baby's arms are able to escape pretty easily. And the zipper starting from the top rather than from the bottom means you always have to connect the two sides, which can be hard on a wiggly baby. Get the love to dream sleep swaddle instead. The best swaddle purchase we made.
Easy to use & great way to help baby sleep! This is great for newborns and other versions of the sleepsack are great for when baby starts rolling.
Great for non-winter months and very easy to clean. Get as many as you can; these things are amazing.
It is definitely soft, but the velcro flaps were slightly awkward to use, and by the time my baby was big enough to use it, I was trying to transition her out of being swaddled - and unfortunately the "swaddle" part was not comfortable for her at all simply being worn around her waist like it shows as an option.
Preferred other sleep sacks/swaddles to this one. The velcro part to swaddle the arms doesn't keep the arms inside. The loud sound of the Velcro isn't ideal for a sleeping baby.
It's the only swaddle my son didn't wiggle out of! There are lots of options out there, but these worked the best for us!
It is the safest, easiest swaddle because of the Velcro and zipper, also the swaddle that the hospital sent us home with.
