The HALO SleepSack Swaddle has all the benefits of a traditional swaddle, but in a much simpler and foolproof design. The wings make it easy to wrap the swaddle around your baby and keep their arms safely immobilized, preventing the startle reflex that can disturb rest.

It also has versatility to match your baby’s sleep style and stage of development. It has a bag-style zippered sleep sack with an attached, adjustable upper body swaddle that wraps around your baby’s arms and torso. You can wrap your baby with arms snugly at their sides, hands-to-face or with one or both arms free. Some babies sleep better in the more cocooned wrap, and others need access to their hands for self-soothing. Large, adjustable fasteners on the top part of the swaddle help you get just the right fit.

The soft, polyester micro-fleece of this version of HALO’s swaddle sack is super warm (rated 3.0 TOG). It works well in cold environments, but you will want to select a lighter weight swaddle for more temperate climates or if you keep your home heated at night to prevent overheating.

The HALO swaddle is embroidered with “back is best” on the front, reminding caregivers to always place your baby to sleep on her back. It’s meant to be used over PJs in the place of a loose blanket.

The roomy sack at the bottom allows your baby to move her legs freely, promoting long-term hip health (though some babies sleep better when both legs and arms are wrapped snugly).

Parents report that the HALO SleepSack Swaddle holds up well to washing, but do remember to attach the fasteners to itself so it doesn’t stick to itself or other items in the wash. Stop swaddling when your baby shows signs of rolling over or breaking out of the wrap.
