Overview

Description

This Convertible Carrier’s unique, convertible seat makes it ideal for infancy through the toddler years.

The carrier features four ways to carry: facing-in (folded), facing-in (extended), facing out and back pack. Use the folded seat position and padded head support to ergonomically hold smaller infants from knee-to-knee. Switch to the extended position to continue to provide a wide, ergonomic seat as they grow.

This also includes the handy Wonder Cover, a bib to protect your clothing and carrier.

7 Questions
Can this be used for newborns?

Best Answer:  Yes, the Infantino Flip 4-In-1 Convertible Carrier can be used for newborns, but is designed for babies weighing 8-32 lbs.

Are there measurements for the carrier and how it fits parents?

Best Answer:  The only measurements shared are the baby's weight (8-32 lbs). Their product page has a video which shows it in use: https://infantino.com/products/flip-4in1?bvstate=pg:2/ct:r

What size parent does this fit? How large does it get?

Best Answer:  The waist belt extends up to 49" while the shoulder straps adjust to a maximum of 39".

How is the Hip support for the baby? I'm looking for something that will spread around the torso, hips bent, and knees slightly higher than the buttocks. This position allows the hip joint to be centered and stable, and prevents hip dysplasia. One that has a wide base that supports the thighs from beneath and allows the legs to spread naturally.  Ex. jockey, straddle, frog, spread-squat, or human position

Best Answer:  The International Hip Dysplasia Institute has not issued an opinion about this carrier. That said, as long as it's used correctly, this carrier will be safe for your little one's hips.

Is this carrier user friendly for one parent to get on by themselves or do you need a partner to help?

Best Answer:  All carriers have a bit of a learning curve, but the Infantino Flip is fairly straightforward and you shouldn't need any help putting your baby in or out.

Can babies sleep in this?

Best Answer:  Babies often fall asleep when they are all snug carriers. To keep them safe, support their heads and keep their chins off their chests.

Is this machine washable???

Best Answer:  Yes, this carrier is machine washable.

Not ergonomic for adult or baby!
Be warned! Instructions for newborn set up do not meet guidelines for hip health. Only realized this after using it for weeks and discovered this while looking at r/babywearing As if that wasn’t problem enough, it also put a lot of strain on my upper/mid back and doesn’t have the option to cross the straps. Wound up buying an ergo baby and will be returning this.

its ok
very handy in general, but you can tell it's a knock off of more expensive carriers in the sense that it's not the most comfortable to use.

Great for smaller infants
Loved it while it lasted. My son outgrew it at 12 months and 22 pounds. It’s too small for a bigger infant.

Review Before Using
It’s actually comfortable not just for baby but for mommy as well and the different modes definitely come in handy, I tested it out on my niece. I can’t wait to use it for my baby girl !
